At Nymbus, we’re revolutionizing banking technology. Our award-winning modern core platform and cloud-based solutions help financial institutions modernize, scale, and succeed. As part of our team, you won’t just be part of a tech revolution; you’ll be at the forefront of it, driving innovation and delivering exceptional client experiences. \nNymbus is building the next generation of fintech platforms, and that takes people who are ready to challenge convention, move with purpose, and reimagine what’s possible. We operate with an AI-first mindset across our business, continuously improving how we work, and the value we deliver to our clients. \nWe want our partners to be thrilled about the possibilities we are creating together and the lasting impact our collaboration will bring to the industry and consumers. The journey to growth begins with doing something different. And that journey starts with the great people who make Nymbus.\nWe challenge the status quo, question assumptions, and work together to turn bold ideas into meaningful progress. \nTHE OPPORTUNITY: \nAt Nymbus, the AI Technical Product Manager, Core is the primary builder in our squad triad model.\nYou are responsible for transforming product vision into reality. Working within a dedicated squad alongside an Architect (who owns system design and technical integrity) and a Shipper (who owns delivery, quality, and release), you own the build, from specification through implementation. You operate with an AI-first, spec-first mindset, leveraging tools like Kiro and Claude to accelerate every phase of product creation.\nThis is not a traditional product owner or product management role. You bring your own experience, research, and creativity to design products end-to-end, authoring specifications, shaping system behavior, and iterating rapidly using AI-assisted workflows. You own the \"what\" and the \"how,\" translating domain problems into working, shippable software.\nTHE SQUAD TRIAD MODEL:\nYou operate as one-third of a high-autonomy squad:\n Technical Product Manager / Builder (This Role): Owns product intent, specification, and implementation. You are the primary creator - designing system behavior, authoring specs, and iterating with AI tools to produce working software. Deep domain knowledge is a plus; the ability to acquire it quickly is a must.\n Architect (Your Partner): Owns system design, technical integrity, and cross-squad consistency. The Architect ensures your solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with platform architecture. You collaborate daily on data models, API contracts, and integration patterns.\n Shipper (Your Partner): Owns delivery, quality assurance, release management, and operational readiness. The Shipper ensures what you build meets quality standards, passes validation, and reaches production reliably. You collaborate on acceptance criteria, test coverage, and deployment strategy.\nTogether, the triad owns outcomes end-to-end - from problem definition through production operation.\nWHAT YOU WILL OWN: \nProduct Design and Specification\nUse AI tools (Kiro, Claude) to rapidly iterate on designs, edge cases, and alternative approaches\nOwn end-to-end product design from problem definition through system behavior and user experience\nAuthor clear, testable, implementation-ready specifications using AI-assisted workflows\nDefine APIs, data models, and interaction patterns in partnership with the squad Architect\nTranslate business requirements and domain knowledge into buildable system specifications\nAI-First Building and Implementation\nBuild working software using AI-assisted development workflows as the primary creation method\nGenerate, refine, and implement product and technical specifications using spec-driven development\nPrototype and validate solutions rapidly before committing to full implementation\nPush through ambiguity - when requirements are unclear, explore, propose, and build to learn\nLeverage AI tools as co-developers, not just assistants, to multiply output and quality\nSquad Collaboration\nPartner daily with the Architect on API design, data modeling, and system architecture decisions\nCoordinate with the Shipper on acceptance criteria, testability, and release readiness\nParticipate directly in technical design discussions and tradeoff decisions with the full triad\nSurface blockers, risks, and dependencies to the squad early and proactively\nMaintain shared context with squad partners through specifications, documentation, and working demos\nWHAT YOU WILL BRING:\nProduct & Fintech Experience:\n5 plus years in product and/or engineering roles within fintech, banking, or financial services\nExperience working with core banking platforms\nStrong understanding of complex, regulated environments and financial workflows\nProven ability to translate customer and market feedback into measurable outcomes, including direct input from banks, credit unions, and their customers alongside market and competitive signals to iteratively refine features, driving improvements in customer experience, adoption, and institutional growth\nAbility to connect business goals to technical capabilities and constraints, quickly distinguishing high-impact investments from low-value efforts to keep the work focused on what actually moves the business forward\nProven ability to design and build systems and workflows, not just define requirements\nTrack record of shipping working software, not just producing documentation\nTechnical Fluency:\nStrong hands-on development capability across front-end and/or back-end technologies\nAbility to own implementation end-to-end within a product domain\nComfort working across the stack as needed to deliver complete features\nPlus - Understanding of REST APIs, data modeling, and system interactions\nPlus - Familiarity with Node.js, Prisma, Redis, Kafka/SQS, AWS deployment\nAI-First Mindset:\nActive, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows\nDemonstrated use of AI tools for specification, code generation, and iteration\nWillingness to experiment with tools and continuously improve AI-augmented building practices\nComfort operating in a spec-first, AI-first development methodology\nWays of working:\nHigh Agency: Takes ownership of outcomes and drives work forward without waiting for permission or heavy process. Identifies what should be built and builds it.\nProblem Solver: Thrives in ambiguity. Frames problems clearly, explores solution spaces, and converges on practical approaches quickly.\nBuilder Mindset: Measures success by what ships. Prefers building and iterating over planning and discussing. Gets energy from creating working software.\nExperimenter: Tests ideas quickly using AI tools and iterates based on results. Explores multiple approaches before committing.\nQuality Driven: Focuses on correctness, clarity, and long-term maintainability. Treats specifications and code as durable assets.\nScale Oriented: Designs with performance, extensibility, and operational realities in mind from the start.\nOwnership: Takes pride in end-to-end delivery. Does not hand off and walk away - stays accountable through production. Manages other duties as assigned. \nTHIS ROLE ISN'T FOR:\nBacklog administrators who manage tickets but do not build\nRequirements writers who stay removed from how solutions get implemented\nDevelopers who wait for fully specified work before starting\nIndividuals uncomfortable with ambiguity, cross-functional ownership, or AI-first workflows\nNarrowly-scoped specialists who prefer staying in a single function\nHOW WE WORK: \n\nNymbus is a remote-first company. Success in our remote environment requires self-motivation, initiative, and strong personal accountability. Team members are expected to manage their priorities independently, communicate proactively, remain responsive, and participate on camera during virtual meetings. \nA strong remote culture requires intentional effort from everyone. We expect team members to engage in our global community, proactively build relationships, participate actively in team and company conversations, seek opportunities to collaborate, and take shared ownership of creating a connected and inclusive remote community including showing up on camera.\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: \n\nBase Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000 annually\nAnnual cash bonus and equity eligibility\nRemote work environment\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance, including HSA/FSA/DCA\n401(k) plan\nFlexible time-off and company holidays\nAdditional paid volunteer day\nSupplemental Insurance Programs, including voluntary Life, Accident, Critical Illness, Pet Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Programs [EAP]\nWellness programs \nGrowth and development programs\nActual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, role scope, and location.\nOUR HIRING COMMITMENTS \n\nAs an AI-first company, we embrace the power of AI tools throughout our hiring process.
