The Assistant Research Scientist will support the Division of Environmental Health Sciences’ N-C Organic Chemistry (LOAC) Laboratory’s chemical terrorism and public health emergency program. The incumbent will assist with analyzing clinical samples for (ultra-) trace levels of organic chemicals using techniques based on chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC/MS and GC/MS). The incumbent will also maintain appropriate laboratory documentation, prepare quality control samples, process data, assist with preparing reports and standard operating procedures, and assist with performing other appropriate related duties.\nThis position will be part of a dynamic team serving the Wadsworth Center’s mission in the New York State Department of Health’s efforts to protect and promote the health of New York’s citizens.
