Our systems support critical business functions across warehouse operations, inventory, finance, customer support, sales, marketing, and analytics. This includes internally developed ERP, CRM and WMS applications, dashboards, automation workflows, APIs, databases, and integrations with third-party platforms.\nThis is not simply a front-end testing position. The QA Manager will be responsible for validating systems end-to-end, including business logic, database accuracy, API behavior, integrations, workflows, permissions, and user-facing functionality. The objective is simple: systems should not reach production because someone says they work. They should reach production because there is evidence that they work. The QA Manager will ultimately serve as the independent quality gate between development and production, ensuring that Nysonian's internal systems remain reliable as their complexity and importance continue to grow.\nWhat You'll Own\n\nOwn the overall QA strategy and release-quality process for Nysonian's internal systems.\nEstablish standardized QA procedures, test plans, release checklists, acceptance criteria, and sign-off requirements.\nThoroughly test our ERP, CRM, WMS, operational dashboards, finance systems, and automation workflows.\nValidate functionality across the complete system stack: Front-end behavior, Backend business logic, APIs and integrations, Database records and transformations, Automation workflows, User permissions and access controls\nPerform functional, integration, regression, API, database, and end-to-end testing.\nValidate data accuracy between source systems and internal applications.\nTest critical integrations with platforms such as Shopify, ShipHero, Xero, AWS, and other operational systems.\nReconcile system outputs against source data when validating financial, inventory, sales, or operational reporting.\nBuild regression suites for business-critical workflows so existing functionality is protected when new features are deployed.\nIdentify edge cases and failure scenarios before they become production incidents.\nMaintain clear documentation of defects, reproduction steps, severity, expected behavior, and evidence.\nWork directly with developers, ERP leadership, DevOps, Data, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve defects.\nEstablish clear severity classifications and determine which defects should block a production release.\nConduct post-deployment validation for critical releases.\nTrack recurring defects and identify underlying process or architectural weaknesses rather than repeatedly fixing symptoms.\nDevelop and expand automated testing where it meaningfully improves coverage and release confidence.\nProvide management with clear visibility into system quality, unresolved risks, release readiness, and recurring failure patterns.\nSkills & Qualifications\n5+ years of software QA experience, with experience leading QA processes or teams.\nStrong understanding of modern web application architecture.\nHands-on experience with API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.\nStrong understanding of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.\nAbility to independently investigate discrepancies at the database level.\nExperience testing integrations between multiple systems.\nExperience with regression and end-to-end testing.\nExperience designing structured test cases and test plans.\nFamiliarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent.\nComfortable working with Git-based development and deployment workflows.\nStrong understanding of bug lifecycle, severity classification, release management, and root-cause analysis.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with any of the following would be particularly valuable:\nERP or WMS platforms, E-commerce systems, Shopify, ShipHero or other warehouse management platforms Xero or accounting integrations, AWS environments, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Supabase, API-heavy architectures, Data pipelines and BI dashboards, Automation platforms and scheduled workflows.\nWhy You'll Love Working at Nysonian\nCulture\nWe're founder-led and operate with speed, direct communication, and clear accountability\nWe invest in tools and management practices that help colleagues do their best work\nOur products are used by customers globally\nAI is intentionally embedded in how we work, create, and scale\nSenior leaders are expected to create structure, make decisions, and stay close to execution\nGrowth & Development\nCompetitive pay and meaningful opportunities for performance-based advancement\nOwnership of strategy, systems, execution, and team buildout within your function\nOpportunity to build and scale a meaningful part of the business across two consumer brands\nScope and compensation growth tied to performance, role expansion, and measurable business impact\nWe are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
