Join us as we help people all over the world thrive at work.\nThe DevOps Manager leads the DevOps team, overseeing developer tooling/support and maintaining multiple cloud products, databases and services. This role involves handling and prioritizing engineering efforts and ad-hoc operational tasks, while continuously improving quality and productivity through automation.\nA successful candidate will be an experienced manager ready to take on new challenges, with a strong focus on metrics and operational excellence, excellent recruiting and people-development skills, and the ability to lead multi-functional teams.\nResponsibilities\nWork closely with engineers and other engineering managers to architect, develop, and implement technical requirements.\nReport on the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to senior management.\nDrive monitoring, process, security, and service improvements.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications and services within budget and on schedule.\nLead, hire, retain, mentor, and develop talent on the team.\nAssess, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities.\nManage and execute operational excellence and KPIs.\nBuild technology roadmaps to meet ongoing business needs.\nCreate, maintain, and prioritize engineering tasks.\nThis position will require some support outside of business hours and on-call rotation.\nBasic Qualifications\n5+ years of relevant technical experience.\n3+ years of experience in recruiting, managing, and mentoring small to medium technical operations or software engineering teams.\nBS in Computer Science or a related certifications or equivalent experience.\nExperience prioritizing product, engineering, support, and ad-hoc requests.\nExperience supporting and monitoring a highly distributed environment.\nExperience with Kubernetes, Linux, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code.\nExperience with at least two of the following programming languages: Go, NodeJS, Linux Shell, Python.\n3+ years of experience with cloud-based infrastructure and AWS services.\nExperience with software development, engineering, deployment, and CI/CD in a micro architecture environment.\nExperience with tools such as Git, Terraform, and Github Actions\nKnowledge and use of Agile methodologies, i.e., Kanban, Scrum, Lean.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience leading and working with offshore teams.\nExperience prioritizing competing demands, scoping large efforts, and negotiating timelines.\nExperience influencing engineering best practices.\nHands-on experience architecting, designing, and developing application code.\nExperience designing fault-tolerant distributed systems.\nExperience leading production support research/efforts.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3442,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Cybersecurity","Software","HR & Payroll Software"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-28T08:22:58Z"}],"liveness":{"score":52,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.698,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":37,"expected_fill_days":39,"reasons":["conf:27","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-09-30T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/o-c-tanner-manager-devops","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/o-c-tanner-manager-devops.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T03:24:33Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":2853,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":2147,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
