Join us as we help people all over the world thrive at work.\nThe Systems Analyst (Custom Reporting Solutions) partners with clients, business stakeholders, and technology teams to translate custom reporting needs into effective system, data, and process solutions.\nYour day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing requirements, developing and validating reporting solutions, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation, and helping ensure solutions deliver measurable client value.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong analytical and communication skills, a high acumen for detail, with hands-on SQL experience and a collaborative, client-focused approach.\nKey Responsibilities\nRequirements Discovery and Analysis\nCollaborate with clients and O.C. Tanner stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document custom reporting needs.\nTranslate business needs into clear business and system requirements, scopes of work or memoranda of understanding, data process flows, acceptance criteria, and practical solution designs.\nAssess data availability, dependencies, risks, effort, and intended use cases, escalating complex issues as appropriate.\nCustom Reporting Solution Delivery\nPartner with Clients, Product, and Technology teams throughout delivery-from design and engineering through testing, automation, implementation, validation, and post-launch support.\nDevelop custom payroll, tax, audit, compliance, and operational reporting solutions using SQL, data transformations, and calculations across multiple data sources.\nCreate and maintain documentation for requirements, report logic, business rules, data mappings, testing, and deployment.\nData Analysis, Validation and Quality\nUse SQL and relational data to analyze use cases, engineer custom reporting solutions, and research and resolve questions and unexpected outcomes.\nValidate report output against source systems, documented requirements, and acceptance criteria.\nIdentify data quality issues, edge cases, and calculation discrepancies, and support root cause analysis and resolution.\nApply established testing, reconciliation, and quality practices to help ensure accurate, scalable reporting.\nStakeholder Partnership and Continuous Improvement\nServe as a liaison between business and technical teams, clearly communicating requirements, decisions, risks, dependencies, progress, and outcomes.\nFacilitate working sessions and contribute recommendations that balance client value, delivery effort, maintainability, and product direction.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation, reusable processes, and product enhancements.\nShare knowledge and contribute to team standards for requirements, documentation, report design, testing, and quality control.\nRequired Qualifications\nAt least 3 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, data analysis, reporting, or a related technology role.\nExperience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements.\nAbility to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria.\nDemonstrated hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases, including joins, aggregations, common table expressions, and data validation.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships across business and technical teams.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with high aptitude for accuracy and detail.\nKnowledge of software development and technology delivery practices, including testing and implementation.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines.\nA relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with payroll, tax, audit, compliance, or other client-facing operational reporting.\nExperience with enterprise data warehouses & relational databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, and Postgres.\nExperience partnering with Product, Engineering, Data, or software development teams.\nFamiliarity with data governance, regulatory reporting, automation, or production support practices.\nSuccess Measures\nAccuracy, completeness, and quality of custom reporting solutions.\nOn-time delivery against agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.\nClear, actionable requirements and effective communication across stakeholders.\nTimely resolution of reporting questions, discrepancies, and defects.\nClient and stakeholder satisfaction with delivered solutions.\nReduction in manual effort through automation, reusable processes, and product
