If you thrive in a busy environment and are looking for a great place to work with highly engaged employees, then our plant in Auburn is the place for you.\n The Electronic Technician will be work with our glassware inspection systems and some new technology manufacturing systems: robotics, vision systems, PLC, etc. The technician will monitor inspection and electronics equipment.\nThe Electronics Technician will:\nTroubleshoot, maintain and repair complete systems, including vision systems, servo controls, instrumentation and machine controls\nRepair all electrical or electronic equipment and component parts\nMonitor inspection machine performance and make adjustments where necessary\nThe Electronic Technician should have:\nStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude and skills\nExperience working from complex blue prints, wiring diagrams, shop hands books and layouts\nThorough knowledge of mechanical principles and application of equipment, such as motors, switches, generators, conveyors, machinery, etc.\nExperience with 480v motors and controls and variable frequency drives\nAbility to learn new systems quickly\n 2 year degree in Electrical Technology OR 3 years experience in an Industrial Electrician or similar position\nCompletion of the NY State Certified Apprenticeship program is preferred\nPrevious experience with PLCs, servo controls and vision systems is preferred\nHigh School Graduate or GED\nAble to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis\n What We Offer:\nHourly Wage: The hourly wage for this position is $37.29\nO-I offers a very generous benefit package - some of the highlights are:\nVacation time and paid holidays \nMedical, dental, prescription and vision care coverage \nPre-tax accounts \nWell-being program which includes opportunity to earn employer contributions \nLife and AD&D Insurance \nDisability Insurance \n401(k) retirement saving plans with employer contributions \nFinancial advisors to assist with retirement planning and financial wellness \nEmployee Assistance Program \nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nO-I is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture.
