It’s an exciting time at this facility and the future is bright at Brampton!\n The Plant Engineer is accountable for managing the maintenance of the plant’s production equipment, furnace, electrical systems, building, and grounds. The Plant Engineer also ensures the plant is in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.\nThe Plant Engineer will:\nConduct periodic inspection and provide guidance concerning all plant systems, furnaces, equipment, facilities, and grounds.\nEnsure preventive maintenance is followed on production equipment by scheduling repairs and upgrades while simultaneously working to maximize plant uptime.\nSupervise training of personnel to ensure all crafts (electrical, hydraulic and mechanical) have the required level of expertise.\nSupport job change initiatives to improve performance.\nRemain consistent with lean principles, and ensure the development of a continuous improvement culture within the plant by involving relevant salary and hourly workforce in the on-going identification, development, and implementation of improvements to the manufacturing process.\nChampion energy savings initiatives.\nOversee plant apprenticeship program.\nThe Plant Engineer should have:\nExperience communicating and directing the application of safety and environmental regulations.\nExperience investigating all accidents and safety incidents within the plant, ensuring proper root cause analysis to provide remedial action to prevent reoccurrence and implement corrective actions.\nThe ability to prepare estimates and specifications of plant projects, determining crew size, trades involved, and materials required to complete projects.\nExperience coordinating and directing outside contracting work associated with plant system, furnace, and facility.\nThe ability to effectively manage department budgets.\n Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering\n5+ years of experience in a maintenance management or engineering management position in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience working in a CMMS (previous Limble experience highly desired)\nExperience creating a maintenance plan for a large manufacturing facility\nExperience managing projects on a large scale \nLeadership abilities managing a team, including coaching, training, delegating responsibilities\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other departments \n What we offer at O-I:\nSalary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $160,000 and includes a possible 18% quarterly incentive bonus.
