Our Crenshaw plant is conveniently located in an area that offers a multitude of options for the outdoor enthusiasts.\n We’re looking for a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Selector / Production Worker. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a strong technical mindset, and is eager to grow within a fast-paced industrial environment.\nThe Selector / Production Worker will:\nVisually inspect ware and remove defective items to ensure quality standards are met.\nSet up ware on lehrs and conveyors, dislodge ware on straight-line equipment, and adjust carton flow on conveyors as needed.\nMonitor and tend to case packer/robot systems to ensure proper operation and troubleshoot minor issues.\nInspect ware on filled case conveyor, fill cartons as needed, and verify carton gluing and appearance meet specifications.\nOccasionally hand-pack ware and reselect packed ware based on quality control instructions.\n Qualifications:\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\nHigh School diploma or GED required.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and interest in working with automated equipment.\nSafety-focused mindset with attention to detail.\nPrior experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.\nWillingness to learn new technologies and grow within the company.\nAbility to lift 25 pounds regularly.\nFlexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.\nPreferred Skills:\nFamiliarity with basic troubleshooting of mechanical or robotic systems.\nExperience working with conveyors, packaging machinery, or automated equipment.\nAbility to follow technical instructions and adapt to changing production needs.\n What We Offer at O-I:\nHourly Wage: $26.53 hour\nO-I offers a very generous benefit package - some of the highlights are:\nVacation time and paid holidays \nMedical, dental, prescription and vision care coverage \nPre-tax accounts \nWell-being program which includes opportunity to earn employer contributions \nLife and AD&D Insurance \nDisability Insurance \n401(k) retirement saving plans with employer contributions \nFinancial advisors to assist with retirement planning and financial wellness \nEmployee Assistance Program \nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nO-I is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture.
