We are dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for a variety of projects. \nEmployee Benefits:\n100% paid base coverage (Health, Vision, & Dental insurance).\n401(k)\nPaid Holidays\nPaid Sick\nPaid Vacation\nEAP - Employee Assistance Program\nO2EPCM, Inc. https://o2epcm.com/ \nPosition: Senior Landscape Architect\nSalary Range: $156,000 - $163,000 \nLocation: Onsite (Los Angeles, CA) \nType: Full-Time \nDuties: \n9.1 Oversee the staff, projects, programs, and activities of the Landscape Unit, providing \nprofessional leadership, technical direction, and guidance in the planning, design, development, \nand implementation of landscape architecture and greening projects \n9.2 Provide technical direction and professional oversight to consultant landscape architects and \nother design professionals engaged in District landscape architecture, greening, irrigation, \ngrading, and related projects \n9.3 Serve as Landscape Architect of Record for District-designed projects and assume professional \nresponsibility for the preparation, review, coordination, and certification of landscape \narchitectural plans, specifications, and related technical documents \n9.4 Plans, develops, and directs highly complex landscape architectural projects involving \nlandscape design, site planning, greening, irrigation systems, grading, planting, hardscape, and \nrelated site improvements \n9.5 Prepares and certifies plans, specifications, and other professional documents in accordance \nwith applicable laws, codes, standards, and District requirements \n9.6 Leads the design and development of in-house landscape architecture, greening, and land-use \nplanning projects, applying professional judgment to establish design solutions \n9.7 Direct and supervise the preparation, review, and coordination of landscape architectural \ndrawings, specifications, construction documents, and design revisions for new landscaping \nand modifications to existing landscapes \n9.8 Directs and oversees the development, review, negotiation, and processing of Design Service \nProposals, scopes of work, and related documents for landscape architectural and greening \ndesign services \n9.9 Leads coordination and community engagement related to landscape architectural and \ngreening projects with school principals, teachers, parent groups, nonprofit organizations, and \nother community stakeholders; evaluates input and incorporates appropriate requirements into \nproject development \n9.10 Reviews, negotiates, and approves task orders, scopes of work, proposals, and related \nconsultant documents for landscape architectural and related professional services \n9.11 Prepares and reviews cost estimates, evaluate materials and equipment, establish appropriate \ninstallation methods, and assess project delivery methods \n9.12 Conducts site visits and field investigations; evaluates existing site conditions, reviews \nconstruction and installation progress, identifies design and technical issues, and provides \nprofessional direction to resolve issues affecting landscape and greening projects \n9.13 Reviews and approves technical documentation supporting grant applications for landscape \narchitecture, greening, sustainability, and related projects; ensures that proposed projects and \nsupporting documentation satisfy applicable District and funding-agency requirements \n9.14 Provides technical consultation and professional advice to District management, project teams, \nschool-site personnel, and other stakeholders regarding landscape architecture, site planning, \ngreening, irrigation, grading, sustainability, and related design matters \n9.15 Reviews project designs and provide recommendations regarding constructability, \nmaintainability, lifecycle considerations, sustainability, accessibility, safety, cost effectiveness, \nand compliance with District requirements \n9.16 Performs other related duties as assigned. \n10. Minimum Requirements \nRequired Experience: \n10.1 Minimum ten (10) years’ professional experience in landscape architectural design on \ncommercial and public agency projects, preferably school or university projects\n10.2 Minimum three (3) years’ experience in supervising a team of landscape architects and \nrelated staff providing direction and overseeing projects from inception to completion \n10.3 Experience with AutoCad design software system\n10.4 Proficiency in computer office software (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.)\n10.5 Experience with graphic design and rendering software (Adobe Suite, Photoshop, others)\nRequired Education: \n10.6 Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in landscape \narchitecture \nAdditional Requirements: \n10.7 Extensive experience in AutoCad and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) \n10.8 Revit, Rhino and Lumion experience is preferred \nSkills: \n10.8 Strong design skills and a passion for creativity \n10.9 Strong organizational skills \n10.10 A high degree of self-motivation, flexibility, and resourcefulness \n10.11 Knowledge of planting design, materials, and technical aspects of landscape architecture \n10.12 Review of construction documents, specifications and contracts \n10.13 Construction administration experience, as well as experience coordinating with a range of \nconsultants including civil, electrical, and structural engineers \n10.14 Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills. \nPlease note, if you move forward in the submission process, you will be asked to provide the following below.\nMost updated resume\nCertifications or Licenses obtained\n3-4 Professional References\nProject List with values, dates, and company of any projects worked\nTHIS POSITION IS ONSITE AND YOU MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF RESIDENCY IN SOUNTHERN CALIFORNIA TO BE CONSIDERED\nNO PER DIEM.
