Join us!\nHow do we work?\n As our Staff Systems Administrator, you’ll join a collaborative global Corporate IT team that keeps OANDA’s people and critical systems connected, secure, and running smoothly. You’ll help shape how we design, automate, and improve our internal technology environment, while supporting the wider team in solving complex problems and adopting better ways of working.\nIn this role, you will:\nEnsure the availability, performance, and security of critical internal systems\nLead technical design sessions, retrospectives, and automation initiatives\nEvaluate emerging technologies and contribute to OANDA’s technology roadmap\nMentor other systems administrators and run knowledge-sharing and training sessions\nTranslate complex technical topics into clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences\nProvide technical leadership and oversight across infrastructure projects\nWhat skillset do you need to be successful in this role?\n1+ years of hands-on Google Workspace administration experience\nSignificant experience operating at Senior Systems Administrator, Lead, or equivalent level\nStrong hands-on experience administering enterprise Windows and macOS environments\nStrong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and SSL/TLS\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally GCP, and hybrid environments\nExperience designing, improving, and automating IT infrastructure and operational processes\nUnderstanding of IAM/PAM concepts and practices; SailPoint experience is beneficial\nFamiliarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST, as well as disaster recovery planning\nExperience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and influencing infrastructure decisions\nCuriosity about AI and how it can be used to improve IT operations and employee experience\nExcellent communication skills - you can make complex technical topics easy to understand\nA bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience; a master’s degree is a plus\nNice to have:\nExperience with Linux and knowledge of Azure\nScripting and automation skills using tools such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, or Ansible\nVDI experience, ideally with Workspot\nRelevant industry certifications, such as MCSE, RHCE, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Professional Google Workspace Administrator\n___\nAt OANDA, to help us efficiently process applications, we use AI-driven tools to help source and rank candidates based on professional experience and skills.
