We are looking for an experienced audit professional who can both perform financial statement audit work and help shape the AI platform that powers it. This is a player-manager role - you will execute audit procedures hands-on while working closely with our product and engineering teams to ensure the AI we build reflects how great audit work is actually done.\nThis is not a traditional financial statement audit role. You will not spend your days grinding through workpapers alone. Instead, you will be simultaneously doing the audit work and improving the systems that automate it - reviewing AI-generated outputs, identifying where they fall short, and translating that into better workflows, prompts, and product decisions. You are the bridge between deep audit expertise and cutting-edge AI development.\nThe role is an early startup employee role. You will be asked to do a plethora of different tasks, some that may even be outside of your expertise or comfort level. We want people who are problem solvers who are energized by tackling the hardest challenges and will push forward through them.\nResponsibilities\nPerform and manage audit procedures directly, including planning, execution, and documentation.\n\nReview and validate AI-generated audit procedures, workpapers, and documentation.\n\nIdentify gaps, errors, inconsistencies, and edge cases in AI-generated audit outputs.\n\nDevelop quality review frameworks, checklists, and methodologies for AI-assisted audits.\n\nCollaborate closely with engineering and product teams to improve AI accuracy, reliability, and audit-awareness.\n\nTranslate hands-on audit experience into concrete feedback that shapes product decisions and AI workflows.\n\nStay up to date with professional standards (GAAS, PCAOB, IAASB) and ensure all outputs comply.\n\nDocument best practices and contribute to building internal knowledge bases.\n\nEstablish continuous feedback loops that improve AI performance over time.\n\nEngage directly with clients on audit methodology questions and help interpret AI-generated content.\n\nManage client relationships and deadlines, ensuring audit deliverables are completed accurately and on time -
