We're looking for a senior accounting and audit professional to own the work where clients, audit judgment and AI meet: leading client engagements end to end, standing behind the verification and audit procedures that keep our work defensible, and setting the methodology that engineering and product build into our AI systems.\nThis isn't a traditional senior or manager role. You won't spend your days reviewing a staff team's workpapers. You'll decide how AI should perform an audit procedure, define what \"right\" looks like, and prove it with evidence a reviewer, regulator or peer reviewer would accept.\nThis is an early, senior hire at a startup. Expect wide scope, real ambiguity and direct influence over how the firm and the platform work. We're looking for people who turn hard, unstructured problems into systems others can rely on.\nWhat Makes This Role Senior\nThe Senior Accounting Engineer owns outcomes where the Accounting Engineer executes and contributes.\nArea\nAccounting Engineer\nSenior Accounting Engineer\nClients\nOnboards clients and answers platform questions\nOwns client portfolios end to end; handles escalations and complex or first-of-kind engagements\nAudit work\nExecutes procedures and reviews AI output\nSigns off on procedures and AI output as reviewer; makes the judgment calls on scope, risk and evidence\nMethodology\nFollows and documents best practices\nWrites and maintains methodology and quality review standards\nProduct & AI\nSupplies ground truth and feedback\nSets accuracy requirements, designs evals and decides when an AI workflow is ready for client use, build modules using AI and tech tools\nPeople\nIndividual contributor\nMentors Accounting Engineers and reviews their work\nRelevant Experience\n2-6 years\n6-10+ years; CPA required\nResponsibilities\nClient leadership\nOwn a portfolio of client relationships from onboarding through engagement completion and renewal.\n\nLead complex, high-stakes or first-of-kind engagements, and be the escalation point when clients or teammates hit hard methodology questions.\n\nExplain AI-generated work product to client finance teams and fund managers, and build their confidence in how it was produced.\n\nTurn patterns across clients into product and process changes, with clear priorities for engineering.\n\nAudit quality & judgment\nPlan engagements: assess risk, set materiality and scope procedures across private funds and SPVs, private companies, employee benefit plans, governments and nonprofits.\n\nAct as reviewer on verification and audit procedures and AI-generated workpapers;
