Now onto the formal stuff.\nWe are looking for a Quality Control Floater to join our team. This role will be as a backup support for QC Technicians during absence and high demand. This role is responsible for assuring consistent production quality by enforcing good manufacturing practice systems, validating processes, performing audits, handling system improvements, and providing documentation. This role will report to the Quality Manager at the Millville plant on a full-time schedule.\nHere are the things we want to hire you to do:\nCrosstrain with QC Technicians to provide backup support during absences or high-demand periods\n\nMonitor and verify daily compliance of SOP's\n\nPerform daily pre-operational and operational plant inspections; authorize or not, the start of processing operations in conjunction with the production department\n\nContinuously monitor that the site follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)\n\nRegularly ensure compliance of all raw materials, packaging materials, products in process, and finished products to specifications\n\nPerform daily pre-operational and operational plant inspections\n\nPerforming laboratory test such APC, Mold and yeast for finished product\n\nPerform in process quality control lab testing, such as viscosity, total solids, PH, particle size etc.\n\nPerform allergen testing: such as Elisa Gluten, Gluten Lateral Flow for raw materials, transportation unit, in process and finish product\n\nCreation of Certificate of Analysis for product release\n\nMaintain logs and other records including inventory lab chemicals\n\nComply with GMPs, PPE, sanitation procedures, general housekeeping and food safety and food defense practices and procedures\n\nEnter test results on lab data system and generate reports\n\nPerform with operations, engineering, and purchase department to resolve supplier quality issues with raw materials\n\nMaintain working knowledge of all instruments used for routine and non-routine sample testing and troubleshooting\n\nConduct timely root cause analysis and enforce improvements to process controls\n\nAssist in the start of processing operations in conjunction with production department\n\nPerform ATP, environmental and allergen swabbing to support plant operations\n\nCommunicate raw material and product quality issues to management\n\nPerform with operations, engineering, and purchase department to resolve supplier quality issues with raw materials\n\nSupport Quality Manager with quality projects, LIMS implementation & projects\n\nPerforming document control in Bizzmine\n\nReview and validate record completion in LIMS, Solvace\n\nConduct scheduled internal audits to ensure compliance with Oatly policies, procedures, and regulatory standards\n\nSupport in training quality and operators on laboratory test and document database systems, SOPs, monitoring programs, and change control processes\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nHere are the things we think you need:\nMust be 18 years or older with the ability to read, write and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposes\n\nHigh school, GED, or equivalent diploma required\n\n2-4 years schooling in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields preferred\n\n2+ years of lab testing experience\n\nAbility to work with minimal supervision\n\nStrong mathematics skills\n\nExcellent attention to detail\n\nSuperior communication skills\n\nExcellent organization skills, and abilities to make decisions on quality issues\n\nAbility to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body\n\nAbility to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 38F-80F degrees)\n\nAbility to be mobile in accomplishing tasks and or moving from one worksite (up to 1-mile range) to another this could include but not be limited to in-plant departments, (Shipping- Receiving, Production, etc.) and/or to Oatly’s 3rd party warehouse\n\nAbility to repeat motions that may include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods (average 8-12 hours)\n\nAnd here’s another list of qualities we think make a good Oatly team member:\nYou feel connected to our mission of encouraging health, sustainability, and transparency\n\nYou are a self-starter who doesn’t need direct supervision to motivate you for success - we believe strongly in building a culture of individual accountability and ownership and need partners that can embrace that mentality\n\nYou are ready to make your mark in a smaller, growing brand leveraging your experience to deliver amazing results and build an outstanding company\n\nYou have an entrepreneurial spirit in that you’re comfortable with ambiguity and are energized by the process of building something lasting from the ground up\n\nYou enjoy sharing your quirkiness and talents with your coworkers\n\nAnother bulleted list felt redundant, so we wrote this long sentence with all the ways we sweeten the deal to work with us, like providing 20 days paid vacation, really great benefits, genuinely great coworkers who want to see the company and each other succeed, and a start-up vibe with an established company history.\nOur team is available to support you through the hiring process with reasonable accommodations to enable a barrier-free interview experience.
