With over 800 professionals operating from Italy, UK, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Canada, the Group serves clients in 4 continents, supporting approximately 100,000 investment professionals to manage more than €1 trillion in assets.\nTo strengthen our team in Milan we are currently looking for a:\nSenior BE Developer (Java)\nWe are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to join our Engineering team and contribute to the design, development and evolution of our digital wealth management platform.\nIn this role, you will build secure, scalable and high-performing back-end services, working closely with product managers, architects and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions for financial institutions.\nMain Activities\nDesign, develop and maintain scalable back-end services using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.\nDevelop clean, maintainable and well-tested code following engineering best practices and coding standards.\nDesign and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external services.\nContribute to the evolution of cloud-native applications deployed on Kubernetes and AWS environments.\nCollaborate with architects, product managers and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.\nEnsure application performance, scalability, resilience and reliability.\nApply secure coding principles and contribute to the implementation of solutions compliant with security and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to continuously improve engineering practices.\nTroubleshoot complex production and application issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, CI/CD pipelines and software quality practices.\nCandidate's Experience and Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in back-end software development using Java and Spring Boot.\nStrong experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.\nHands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS in production environments.\nExperience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.\nSolid understanding of software architecture, secure coding principles and engineering best practices.\nExperience working in Agile environments using Git and CI/CD pipelines.\nProfessional proficiency in English and Italian.\nBackground in fintech, banking or regulated software environments is a genuine advantage.\nNice to Have\nExperience with messaging technologies (e.g. Kafka or RabbitMQ).\nFamiliarity with authentication and security standards (e.g. OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT).\nExperience with automated testing, observability or Infrastructure as Code tools.\nCandidate's Personal Profile\nPassionate about building secure, scalable and high-quality enterprise software.\nStrong ownership mindset, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.\nAnalytical and solution-oriented, with a structured approach to problem solving.\nComfortable working in complex distributed systems and cloud-native environments.\nCurious and committed to continuous learning and technology evolution.\nTeam player who enjoys sharing knowledge and contributing to a collaborative engineering culture.\nWhat We Offer\nDirect collaboration with engineering leadership and cross-functional product teams.\nThe opportunity to contribute to software solutions supporting investment professionals and financial institutions across more than 15 countries.\nAn engineering team committed to evolving its architecture, engineering practices and software quality\nHybrid working arrangement, based in Milan.\nPermanent employment with remuneration commensurate with seniority and experience.Salary range: €40.000 - up to €60.000 gross annual salary (RAL).
