Responsibilities include:\nGeneral landscaping and lawn care: watering, mowing and weed maintenance, trimming and replacing shrubs, applying lawn fertilizers, etc.\nInternal and external building cleaning and maintenance; glass window cleaning, painting of hand rails, equipment or guards, light bulb replacement, general area clean up, etc.\nAccess to and usage of facilities equipment to complete work throughout this campus.\nSupport of general facility projects and repairs; picking up parts, assisting with equipment repair, cleaning equipment components, shadow various technician roles\nOperating POET fleet vehicles for maintenance service and cleanup\nFoster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.\nMaintain a team environment at all times and champion POET in the community\nMaintain and advance the food safety and quality of POET’s products and processes to deliver a best-in-class culture of quality.\nSince we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses!\nQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS\nPursuing or completion of a high school diploma or equivalent education\nGeneral safety awareness and willingness to take direction on task completion\nMust be self-motivated with the ability to work independently on various projects\nKnowledge of the basics of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability of learning new programs\nA SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE\nPractical decision making skills\nHigh level of personal integrity\nInterpersonal skills - ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within/outside the organization\nDemonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills\nAbility to embrace and promote change\nInnovative mindset\nAbility to think objectively\nSelf-awareness in the face of uncertainty\nAbility to work in a team environment\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis role has some physical requirements that our team members will need to be able to perform, such as:\nWearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, self-contained breathing system, hazardous material suit, and hearing protection.\nWorking at extreme heights (approximately 150 ft), in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees Fahrenheit, both indoors and outdoors.\nBe able to use the following equipment/tools, with training provided (not all encompassing): cleaning cart and supplies, forklift, riding and push lawn mower, bobcat sweeper, vacuum, snow blower, shovel, broom, mop, and ladder\nFrequently:Walk on slippery surfaces\nGrip with a force of up to 20lbs\nPush and pull with a force of up to 30lbs\nBend forward while standing\nUse repetitive arm motions to wipe down and maintain work area\n\nOccasionally:Lift up to 50lbs, with or without assistance\nCarry up to 50lb, with or without assistance\nBe in awkward back, shoulder, wrists, and hand positions\n\nSince we are all about team work, you may be asked to help other roles that have their own unique set of physical requirements.\nDue to the physical and safety-sensitive nature of this job, you will be subject to a physical and expected to pass a drug screen during the pre-screen process.
