If you feel the same way, we’d love for you to join us.\nThe Role\nWe’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and drive core areas of Obviant’s platform, shaping how users discover, understand, and act on complex defense acquisition data. You will sit at the intersection of users, engineering, and the mission-translating real-world workflows into clear product direction and shipping high-impact features with urgency.\nThis role requires strong product judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias toward execution. You’ll work closely with engineering, data, and leadership to prioritize what matters most, define success, and continuously improve how Obviant delivers value to government and industry users.\nResponsibilities\nProduct Strategy & Ownership\nOwn product areas end-to-end, from problem definition through delivery and iteration.\n\nDevelop and maintain product vision, roadmaps, and priorities aligned with company goals.\n\nMake tradeoffs between speed, scope, and quality to maximize user impact.\n\nDefine success metrics and use data, user feedback, and judgment to guide decisions.\n\nUser & Workflow Understanding\nDevelop deep understanding of user workflows across government, industry, and investor use cases.\n\nEngage directly with users to identify pain points, validate solutions, and uncover new opportunities.\n\nTranslate complex, domain-specific problems into clear product requirements and narratives.\n\nExecution & Delivery\nPartner closely with engineering to scope work, write clear requirements, and drive predictable delivery.\n\nBreak large initiatives into iterative, measurable increments that ship quickly.\n\nSupport design reviews, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination.\n\nEnsure product decisions are clearly communicated and well understood across teams.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate with engineering, design, data, and leadership on prioritization and execution.\n\nAlign stakeholders around goals, tradeoffs, and timelines.\n\nCoordinate with go-to-market, content, and communications teams to support launches and messaging.\n\nProduct Quality & Evolution\nEnsure features are intuitive, reliable, and aligned with real user needs.\n\nContinuously refine product based on usage data, feedback, and evolving mission requirements.\n\nIdentify and manage product risks, dependencies, and technical constraints.\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of product management experience building complex software products\n\nStrong track record of owning products or features from concept to launch\n\nExperience working closely with engineering teams in fast-moving environments\n\nAbility to reason about complex data, workflows, and systems\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nStrong product judgment and comfort making decisions under uncertainty\n\nPassion for defense, national security, or public-sector missions\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance\n\nBonus:\nExperience in govtech, defense, or regulated environments\n\nFamiliarity with data platforms, analytics tools, or AI-enabled products\n\nPrior experience working directly with government users or policy-driven domains\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nUsers clearly understand and trust the product’s value\n\nHigh-impact features ship regularly and improve real workflows\n\nEngineering execution is focused, predictable, and aligned with priorities\n\nStakeholders trust product direction and decision-making\n\nProduct strategy evolves in step with user needs and mission demands\n\nOur Principles\nWe live these every day.
