Alongside these large-scale projects, we are currently recruiting talented individuals to grow with us as members of Ocado.\nAbout the Role\nEngineering Technicians play an important part in supporting the operation in our state of the art, automated Customer Fulfilment Centre, providing First response to engineering fault conditions, reactive and planned maintenance activities as well as proactive improvement works.\nYou will work a shift pattern to support our 24/7 operation, consisting of 12 hour shifts across days, nights and weekends.\nKey Responsibilities:\nReacting to MHE breakdowns (both mechanical and electrical), locating the fault, analysing the issue and completing the fix in a timely manner to keep operation downtime to a minimum.\nCarrying out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed\nBe required to keep accurate records such as work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores, etc.\nWork closely with other departments to find ways to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment, diagnose equipment breakdowns and action repairs ensuring direction of labour and planned engineering activities fully support the operation.\nAttend meetings as required, analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are maintained at all times.\nIn addition, you will be involved in projects within the business to develop an effective engineering install and commissioning.\nWork to and follow all Health and Safety guidance, both external regional regulations and internal Environmental and Health & Safety policy and associated Arrangement Policies.
