About the Role
We are looking for an Operational HSFE Supervisor to join our Operational Services team.
In this role, you will play a key part in driving Health, Safety, Fire and Environmental (HSFE) compliance across our global sites, embedding a proactive safety culture and ensuring consistent adherence to first-line requirements. Working closely with the HSFE Lead and operational leadership teams, you will take ownership of delivering key first-line activities and providing day-to-day practical guidance to support continuous improvement in safety standards.
The role is UK-based and involves travel across our UK CFCs, with potential international travel to our global sites when operational needs arise.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design for Future:
- Support the design and continuous improvement of the HSFE Management System.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through engaging communication, training initiatives and site-level engagement.
- Work with operational teams to identify emerging risks and design mitigation plans ahead of need.
- Contribute to the design of the annual audit and inspection schedule.
- Support the development of H&S KPIs, tracking metrics and emergency preparedness activities.
- Deliver for Today:
- Support site inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring timely management and tracking of identified actions.
- Support investigations into accidents, incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and track corrective actions.
- Provide daily advice, guidance and troubleshooting to managers and operational teams on all H&S matters.
- Coordinate responses to operational H&S queries and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Execute with Quality:
- Maintain H&S documentation and reporting to ensure it meets Group-defined standards and regulatory requirements.
- Establish clear reporting cadences to keep operational leadership fully updated on compliance and safety performance.
- Implement sustainable, effective processes that maintain a safe and compliant operational environment.
About You
You are an organized, proactive and solutions-focused safety professional who can build instant credibility across all levels of an operation. You possess meticulous attention to detail, stay calm under pressure and take a practical approach to resolving safety issues.
You'll have:
- Solid understanding of UK health and safety legislation and its practical application within an operational environment (knowledge of international H&S legislation is a strong plus).
- Proven experience conducting risk assessments, site audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Experience delivering H&S advice, training and guidance to managers and operational staff across a multi-site network.
- Strong knowledge of incident reporting requirements (e.g., RIDDOR) and relevant regulatory body standards.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence positive safety behaviors.
- Ability to produce clear, high-quality technical reports and trend analysis on incident data.
- Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is desirable; working towards a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is an advantage.
