Both behind the scenes within the warehouses and across the front end of the customer experience which means we now have an opportunity for a Senior Facilities Technician to join our Engineering team, playing a vital role in maintaining the infrastructure that keeps our operation running safely and efficiently.\nThis is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance of the site's building services, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring our facilities remain safe, compliant and operational.\nWorking closely with the Facilities Engineer, you'll manage a wide range of contractors, support engineering teams across the site, and help deliver continuous improvements to our building services infrastructure. If you enjoy problem solving, taking ownership and working in a fast-paced automated environment, we'd love to hear from you.\nYou will be:\n- Coordinating and carrying out planned and reactive building services maintenance across the site.\n- Acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day building and facilities issues.\n- Supporting the Building Services Engineer with the maintenance of site infrastructure and utilities.\n- Maintaining systems including plumbing, generators, compressors, industrial refrigeration, fire alarms, sprinklers and general building infrastructure.\n- Completing first-line repairs to fixtures, fittings and plumbing systems, including responding to leaks and blockages.\n- Managing external contractors, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with Ocado's health and safety standards.\n- Reviewing contractor documentation, including RAMS, before work begins.\n- Carrying out safety inspections, compliance checks and ensuring accurate maintenance records are maintained.\n- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance site reliability, safety and performance.\n-Building strong working relationships with engineering teams and other operational stakeholders across the fulfilment centre.\nAbout you:\nYou'll be a proactive and practical maintenance professional who enjoys taking ownership and finding solutions.
