As a Technology Infrastructure Specialist at OCBC, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our systems and infrastructure are secure, efficient, and always available. You'll be part of a team that's driving innovation and transformation in the banking industry.\nHow you succeed\nWe are seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust monitoring and observability solutions across our infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in monitoring strategies for microservices, applications, and infrastructure, along with strong communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively. Experiences within the Financial Services domain is a plus.\nWhat you do\nDesign and implement end-to-end observability solutions for infrastructure, applications, and microservices.\n\nDevelop and maintain dashboards for real-time visibility into system health and performance.\n\nCollaborate with stakeholders to understand monitoring requirements and provide clear, actionable insights.\n\nAssess and track observability maturity across the organization\n\nImplement and manage Solutions for metrics collection and alerting.\n\nAutomate monitoring processes using scripting languages (Shell, Python, PowerShell).\n\nIntegrate and optimize monitoring tools for performance and scalability.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve observability-related issues across environments.\n\nDeep understanding of:\nInfrastructure Monitoring (Host Systems, Networks and Open systems)\n\nApplication Performance Monitoring (APM) of monolithic and containerized applications\n\nMicroservices Monitoring\n\nDashboard creation and visualization\n\nStrong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.\n\nProficiency in scripting: Shell, Python, PowerShell.\n\nWorking experiences in Broadcom DX Unified Infrastructure Management (DX UIM).\n\nPreferred Experience:\nInfrastructure Monitoring: Broadcom DX UIM\n\nAPM: Cisco AppDynamics, Elastic APM\n\nNPM : Solarwinds\n\nDashboards: Grafana\n\nExperience in financial institutions or regulated environments.\n\nKnowledge of Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) is a plus\n\nWho you are\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.\n\n5+ years of hands-on experience in managing observability solutions (Design, Build, Run & Maintain).\n\nExperience with enterprise logging platforms (e.g., Elasticsearch, Splunk).\n\nProficiency in automation scripting (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, etc.).\n\nStrong understanding of both application and infrastructure domains.\n\nExperience with container orchestration platforms like OpenShift or k8s\n\nSolid knowledge of hardware, operating systems, and system services performance tuning.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative mindset.\n\nStrong communication skills in written and spoken English.\n\nProven ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders.\n\nAbility to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.\n\nWho we are\nAs Singapore's longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932.
