You will shape credit workflows, customer onboarding, and lending automation while leveraging AI technologies (including MCP). You will collaborate closely with business, credit risk, and compliance stakeholders to deliver solutions that align with MAS TRM requirements and secure engineering practices.\nHow you succeed\nYou succeed by delivering robust, compliant, and scalable systems that align with MAS regulations and internal risk controls. You uphold strong engineering standards and a quality-first mindset, enabling high levels of automation and low defect rates while effectively balancing speed and governance. You establish yourself as a trusted partner to business, credit risk, and compliance stakeholders while leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery outcomes.\nWhat you do\nWork within a regional squad of 12 engineers, driving the end-to-end delivery of Loan Origination solutions, including compliance screening, credit assessment, workflow orchestration, and document management.\n\nProvide hands-on technical leadership using Java and API-driven architectures while driving automation and testing practices across the squad.\n\nEnsure system reliability through observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Kibana) and implement strong quality engineering practices.\n\nDrive CI/CD practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) to enable secure and controlled deployments with integrated testing and security checks.\n\nManage data integrity through SQL development and database validation.\n\nLeverage AI technologies to enhance development efficiency, automation, and intelligent lending capabilities.\n\nCollaborate closely with business, operations, and regulatory stakeholders while ensuring proper documentation, effective communication, and audit traceability.\n\nWho you are\n5-8 years of experience in software engineering (banking or financial services experience preferred).\n\nProven experience delivering Loan Origination Systems (LOS) or digital lending platforms.\n\nCore Skills (Must-Have)\nStrong expertise in Java development.\n\nSolid experience in the loan origination and lending domain.\n\nProven team leadership experience with end-to-end delivery ownership.\n\nHands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalent platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with MAS TRM guidelines and working within regulated environments.\n\nPreferred Skills (Good-to-Have)\nExperience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or ACCELQ.\n\nExperience with AI technologies, including MCP or similar solutions.\n\nExposure to observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Kibana, logging and monitoring tools).\n\nStrengths\nStrong understanding of credit workflows and lending processes.\n\nExperience integrating with core banking systems, credit bureaus, and KYC/AML platforms.\n\nGood knowledge of data governance, risk controls, and regulatory compliance practices.\n\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong sense of ownership, accountability, and governance.\n\nWho we are\nAs Singapore's longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932.
