The successful candidate will also contribute to AP automation, process improvement, and the maintenance of accurate, audit-ready financial records.\nAs part of CPL's Finance team, you will collaborate with accounting, property management, leasing, and operational stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. This position offers opportunities to develop accounting, systems, and process improvement experience within a growing and dynamic organization.\n\nAccounts Payable Operations:\no Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, verification, approval tracking, and processing.\no Monitor invoice workflow and approval status within the AP automation system.\no Ensure invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.\no Prepare and process cheque and EFT payments in accordance with established controls and approval requirements.\no Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive supplier relationships.\no Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.\no Maintain accurate and organized vendor records and supporting documentation.\n\nReconciliation and Financial Support:\no Perform vendor statement reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.\no Complete monthly accounts payable reconciliations and supporting schedules.\no Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.\no Support internal and external audit requirements through the preparation of documentation and supporting schedules.\no Assist with other accounting and finance activities as required.\n\nControls and Process Improvement:\no Support compliance with internal controls, policies, and approval processes.\no Maintain organized and audit-ready records.\no Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and efficiency.\no Contribute to ongoing finance system and automation initiatives.\nPost-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent relevant experience.\nExperience in accounts payable, accounting, finance, or a related office environment.\nStrong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.\nExperience with ERP systems;
