The role involves applying principles of electrical engineering, power systems, instrumentation, automation, and reliability engineering to improve efficiency, functionality, safety, and operational performance. He or she investigates failures and develops and communicates sustainable solutions.\nKey tasks and responsibilities:\nEnhances current engineering design and conducts thorough analysis considering multiple areas of application and viability\nCompares the pros and cons of alternative design options and develops an optimized design alternative based on risk, reliability, and/or uncertainty analysis\nReview, Plan and scheduling of all maintenance work through computerized maintenance management system-Pronto Xi, to ensure resources are prioritized in accordance with the maintenance strategy\nDevelops technical specifications for HV/LV electrical equipment, motors, VSDs, MCCs, protection relays, and substations\nConduct risk assessments for mining operation, identifying, and evaluating potential risks and their impacts\nAssist in developing risk mitigation plans and strategies to address identified risks\n Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way\nEducational Background:\nGraduate of Electrical Engineering\nWork Experience and Background:\n3 years of work experience in the metal & mining industry\nExperience in Asset reliability environment\nSpecialization/License:\nLicensed Electrical Engineer\nProfessional Driver’s Licensed\n WHAT'S ON OFFER:\nCompetitive salary + short-term and long-term bonuses\nAccommodation and food provided on site\nTravel provided to and from work \nHealth Insurance \nLiving Our Values recognition program\nAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nExceptional working environment where people are valued and respected\nEligibility to Work: To be considered for this role, you must have valid working rights in the country where the role is located.
