The role involves applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics to create a solution that improves efficiency, functionality, and safety in various applications. Investigate failures and generates and communicates solutions.\nKey task and responsibilities:\nCompares the pros and cons of alternative design options and develops an optimized design alternative based on risk, reliability, and/or uncertainty analysis\nGathers and analyses information to enable the cost-effective allocation of resources that are available for maintenance to provide the highest levels of safety and reliability of engineered systems and works\nReview, Plan and scheduling of all maintenance work through computerized maintenance management system-Pronto Xi, to ensure resources are prioritized in accordance with the maintenance strategy.\nEnsure planned routine maintenance, non-routine maintenance, breakdowns, approved modifications are scheduled to be undertaken with minimum disruption to the Process/Mining operation\nPerforms life cycle analysis of equipment to determine length of effective usage of equipment or machine\nEstablishes the technical design, selection, specification, modification and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to provide engineering design and support to production, maintenance and project teams\nConduct risk assessments for mining operation, identifying, and evaluating potential risks and their impacts\n Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way\nEducational Background:\nGraduate of Mechanical Engineering\nWork Experience and Background:\n3 years of work experience in the metal & mining industry\nExperience in Asset reliability environment\nSpecialization/License:\nLicensed Mechanical Engineer\nProfessional Driver’s Licensed\n WHAT'S ON OFFER:\nCompetitive salary + short-term and long-term bonuses\nAccommodation and food provided on site\nTravel provided to and from work \nHealth Insurance \nLiving Our Values recognition program\nAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nExceptional working environment where people are valued and respected\nEligibility to Work: To be considered for this role, you must have valid working rights in the country where the role is located.
