OceanaGold is listed on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchanges (TSX: OGC; NYSE: OGC).\n To Assist the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to lead and supervise personnel and sub-contractors in the safe and efficient execution of maintenance tasks.\nLead electrical and instrumentation maintenance as planned via the maintenance planning workflow process within allocated budget and time frames.\nCarries out routine maintenance of process plant and site equipment, as directed by the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor.\nScope tasks in full to allow the Electrical Maintenance planner to accurately plan the work\nAssists with plant operation as required.\nIs available for standby as rostered and as required during plant breakdowns and shutdowns.\nCovers leave absences for the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor.\nEnsures that the workshops and yard and the plant site is left tidy after maintenance work is carried out.\nCoaches & Mentors the Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians and Trades Assistants.\nCarries out all other duties that may reasonably be required.\nAssists in developing continuing training for the Electrical and Instrumentation group and seeks areas for improvements for training\nHelps in training any new Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians\nWill still be required to be on the on-call rotation\nWill assist in leading and overseeing in house projects, scope and execution.\nAssist Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor in liaison with the Capital Projects Team.\nAll other duties as reasonably required\n Pre-Employment Requirements:\nHaile is not structured to facilitate an electrical apprenticeship program. Therefore, prior to being employed as an electrical worker at HGM, personnel shall demonstrate one of the following competencies:\nIndustry Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship, or General Journeyman Electrical / Master Electrical License, or MSHA Coal Qualified Person, or 2 years’ experience working under the supervision of a Qualified Electrical Worker within a mining, industrial or commercial industry.\nAll Qualified Electrical Workers are required to comply with the Electrical Safety Principal Control Plan and the referenced standard operating procedures. \nQualifications:\nNFPA 70 E Training\nExperience:\n5-10 Years exposure to heavy industries\nExposure to mining or mineral processing industries is a plus\nExposure to leading and supervision of staff and contractors\n Physical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.\nMust be Fit for Duty: Able to lift and carry 50lbs overhead, climb ladders, work at heights, etc.\nMust be able to work in adverse weather conditions: wind, rain, sun.\nWork is in a surface mine setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.\nPersonal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.\nHaile Gold Mine, Inc. promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing.\nYOU MATTER: OceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.
