Join our team, where your expertise can make a true impact!\nHaile Gold Mine is seeking a qualified, experienced, and reliable Supervisor- Mechanical that provides oversight of projects that include Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines that are critical to the operation of the Mine and provides engineering support and advice on the planning, design and supervision/monitoring of Haile's underground and surface mining.\nPlans, implements, and monitors design and planning work to comply with national regulatory standards\nDirects and coordinates design and planning work to meet delivery targets\nProvides close to accurate cost estimates of SMP projects for budgeting and procurement.\nThoroughly analyzes data collected and recommends actions plans to ensure timely, cost efficient, and high-quality output produced by contractors\nPromptly communicates with contractors to resolve complex issues that hinder the completion of the project\nDevelops solutions to mitigate risk and maximize value\nPeriodically performs audits to check compliance with regulatory requirements\nReviews risks, responses and risk management performance within the team\nLeads the preparation of documents, plans, budgets, and presentations to ensure the implementation of the program objectives and plans\nMonitors compliance of program implementation with agreements as stated in program plans, MOA, and/or other similar agreements\nKeeps stakeholders apprised of progress through regular communication and updates\nAddresses project issues with urgency and direct communication with the right stakeholders and actors\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.\nMust be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts.\nOccasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.\nWork is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.\nPersonal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.\n 5 years of experience in industrial plant construction, power plants and mine processing plants.\n3 years of supervisory experience in industrial plant construction, power plants and mine processing plant projects and/or experience in construction management.\nTrade Qualifications or Degree in Engineering or related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical).\nMSHA 40 HR Trained or past MSHA training \nKnowledge in SMP construction methodologies and standards and its installation.\nProficiency in MS Office Suite: MS Excel functions and setup, MS Word processing, MS PowerPoint presentation, and MS Project usage and processing.\nHigh technical knowledge in general engineering\nDisplays high degree of safety and environmental awareness and a drive for continuous improvement.\nSkills:\nExcellent planning, organizing and prioritization capabilities\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nEffective problem-solving skills.\nAbilities:\nStrong results orientation and ability to consistently deliver targets against the plan.\nMotivated self-starter who can work autonomously and can work under pressure while remaining professional.\nDemonstrated professionalism.\nProven ability to approach situations with balanced equanimity.\n WHAT'S ON OFFER:\nCompetitive salary + short-term and long-term bonus\nComprehensive benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, 401K, and more\nGreat residential location close to Charlotte SC, and is located between the mountains and sea.\nLong service recognition\nLiving Our Values recognition program\nIn-office snack shop\nMonthly paid training available and professional development\nSupportive work environment with a focus on safety and teamwork\nAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nYOU MATTER: OceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.
