The supervisor must be able to focus on safety, environmental compliance, asset protection, and production simultaneously. This is a hands-on supervisor role responsible for managing operations activities, which includes, but may not be limited to all of the gold processing facilities, tailing systems and water systems. This supervisor will interact with many different work groups and departments and must be able to work well with others.\nActively drive HGM’s behavior-based safety and environmental stewardship culture.\nDirectly supervise, support, and professionally develop process operations crew\nCollaboration with other departments when needed\nProvide training and mentoring for operators\nDevelop a safe, productive, and high-performing crew while working collaboratively within the framework of the site team and company enterprise\nConduct individual employee evaluations\nUpdate employee training records and status upgrades\nEstablish and refine operating strategies and procedures to ensure equipment is utilized to its optimum extent\nPerform medium-user duties including: Success Factors Time entry and approval, Pronto (CMMS), work requests, warehouse requests, Support of Process “Our Safe Behaviors” program\nPerform other duties as assigned\n Proven safety record and ability to support work group in achievements of safety, environmental, and production goals required\nMinimum of five (5) years progressive process operations experience required\nProven ability to supervise numerous employees at oncerequired\nAbility to facilitate crew lineouts, safety meeting etc. required\nAbility to follow company policies and procedures and to hold fellow employees/contractors accountable to follow company policies and procedures required\nExperience with computer operations preferred\nAbility to perform the essential functions of this position required\nProven ability to perform essential function of the position required\nFive (5) years of responsible supervisory experience in an industrial operation is preferred.\nIndustrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's License preferred\nMinimum High School Diploma or equivalent, or higher education\n Physical Requirements:\nAbility to work in both office and operational mining environments.\nAbility to regularly access active mining and processing areas to support operational teams, conduct site visits, investigations, coaching, and workforce engagement activities.\nAbility to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and access elevated work areas as required.\nAbility to wear and use mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE).\nWHAT'S ON OFFER:\nCompetitive salary + short-term and long-term bonus\nComprehensive benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, 401K, and more\nSupportive work environment with a focus on safety and teamwork\nAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nYOU MATTER: OceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.
