This role works closely with accounting and operational teams to maintain reliable financial records, resolve routine accounting issues, and support compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards. The position is well suited for an early-career accounting professional who is detail oriented, analytical, and interested in developing a broad foundation in corporate accounting.\n Key Responsibilities\nPrepare and post routine journal entries with complete and appropriate supporting documentation.\n\nPerform assigned general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations; research and assist with resolving reconciling items.\n\nSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and help ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.\n\nAssist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, inventory, treasury, sales tax, cost accounting, or other accounting activities based on business needs.\n\nCompile and analyze financial data and prepare supporting schedules for review by senior accounting personnel or management.\n\nMaintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with company requirements.\n\nAssist in investigating account variances, coding questions, and transaction discrepancies, escalating more complex matters when appropriate.\n\nFollow established internal controls, accounting procedures, and company policies; identify process issues or improvement opportunities and communicate them to the appropriate team members.\n\nSupport internal and external audit requests by gathering schedules, reconciliations, invoices, and other supporting documentation.\n\nPartner professionally with finance, operations, and other internal teams to obtain information and resolve routine accounting matters.\n\nContinue developing technical accounting knowledge, system proficiency, and understanding of the business.\n\n Required\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\n\nMinimum of one year of relevant accounting or finance experience.\n\nFoundational knowledge of general accounting concepts, journal entries, and account reconciliations.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, well-supported work.\n\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to organize priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\n\nPreferred\nExposure to an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or a comparable platform.\n\nExperience or exposure to multiple accounting functions, such as general ledger, account reconciliations, financial close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, inventory, treasury, sales tax, and cost accounting.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Competencies\nAnalytical and problem-solving ability.\n\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\n\nProfessional judgment and discretion when handling financial information.\n\nCuriosity and willingness to learn new accounting processes, systems, and business operations.\n\nConsistent follow-through and ability to identify when an issue should be escalated.\n\nCollaborative approach and ability to work with colleagues across functions and locations.\n\nWorking Conditions\nThis position currently operates primarily in a remote work environment; however, employees may be required to report to the office periodically based on business or departmental needs. The work arrangement is subject to change, and the position may transition to a hybrid or fully in-office schedule in the future.
