The candidate guides engineering efforts across the Systems Engineering V to deploy intelligent Risk Management Frameworks (RMF) to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditation. The ideal candidate will have cyber security experience in the Department of War (DoW) world. The candidate should possess a tenacious personality that displays excellent technical judgement, attention to detail, and ability to understand “the big picture”.\nOTECH produces and maintains unique underwater systems - typically for US Navy and other US Government Department of Defense customers. Our projects are all one-of-a-kind. Projects range from quick burn to lifecycle management of fielded systems. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter who is an effective communicator with excellent critical thinking skills.\n Identify, analyze and mitigate cyber vulnerabilities for complete underwater systems in accordance with required government specifications.\nImplement the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) RMF in compliance with program requirements such as DoD standards.\nImplement Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) on various operating systems.\nAdvise on STIG’s applied on customer supplied products.\nProduce letters of volatility and clearing procedures for in house products, as well as analyzing those produced by vendors.\nFunction as Cyber Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) between engineering, project management and the customer.\nIntroduce innovative design concepts to achieve optimal cyber system security.\nParticipate in government audits.\nSome travel may be required.\nExperienced engineers are also expected to take a leadership role within the software group. This includes helping craft and enforce policies and procedures for software development, and mentorship of junior team members.\n Essential Qualifications\nBS degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Systems Engineering. Commensurate experience will be considered.\n10+ years of practical experience in Systems, Software, Cyber Engineering or related field.\nWork experience with US Department of Defense (DoD) or similarly regulated field.\nForward leaning personality that is a strong and effective communicator.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a US Government Department of Defense Security Clearance.\nMust be a US citizen.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with STIG and NIST policies, guidelines, and procedures.\nExperience hardening embedded systems (including Linux variants and bare metal) and network devices.\nExperience utilizing cyber methodologies to both derive and fulfill system level requirements.\nExperience with the RMF lifecycle and creation of ATO artifacts such as clearing procedures and letters of volatility.\nExperience designing and implementing security architectures.\nExperience segregating classified and unclassified data via system design.\nExperience with Anti Tamper (AT) technology.\nExperience with AUV’s, ROV’s, the ocean engineering field or robotic systems.\nAdditional\nAdditional duties as assigned.\nWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
