As an intern with our offshore projects group, you’ll assist with design and development of IMR (Inspection, Maintenance and Repair) technologies such as unmanned surface vessels, small vehicles, non-destructive testing, system autonomy, system design, and robotic integration.\nWith multiple facets to the program, successful applications will get rewarding work scopes appropriate to their educational background and experience ranging from mechanical design of robotic systems to developing a data model to integrated system optimization\nYour job responsibilities and projects will provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You’ll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to learn ‘real world’ experience and accelerate your career by working with a leader in the oil and gas, aerospace, and entertainment industries.\nLocation\nRole provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.\n\n Support development of new IMR products, technologies and robotic systems.\nDevelop and evaluate technical concepts to address customer and operational needs.\nTranslate product needs into technical requirements and engineering solutions.\nSupport engineering design, analysis, prototyping, integration and testing.\nResearch emerging technologies and assess their application to IMR.\nCollaborate with engineering, operations and commercial team to progress products from concept to deployment.\n REQUIRED\n3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, physics, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or data science.\nMinimum 2.5 GPA\nExperience with Microsoft Office, CAD system (ME, AE only), Python/R/Fabric (CS, Data Science only)\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future\nNo relocation or housing assistance is being offered \nDESIRED\nExposure to physical tools as used for home improvement, wood working, automotive related and similar, programming whether as part of coursework or as a hobby\nWorking Conditions\nThis position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.\nAlmost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night\n\nOccasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace\n\nWork surface is stable (flat)\n\nPhysical Activity/Requirements\n.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
