We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries.\nClick here to see our CEO talk about our Mission, Vision, and Values.\nLocation\nRole provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.\n What you’ll do (Position Summary)\nWe are looking for a Cybersecurity Intern to join our team to protect our organization from cyberattacks by monitoring our systems, reviewing and reporting configuration anomalies, and evaluating threats as they arise.\nA Cybersecurity Intern’s responsibilities include reviewing computer networks and system deployments for identifying any potential vulnerabilities, requesting the necessary software in order to protect it from unauthorized access, and documenting detections so that future events can be mitigated efficiently.\nThis is a paid Summer Internship Program (early June to early August). As an intern with our IT Cybersecurity group, you’ll assist with:\nMonitoring computer networks for security issues.\nInvestigating security events and other cybersecurity configurations.\nRequesting security measures and operating configurations to protect systems and information infrastructure, including Operating Systems and data management programs.\n\nYour job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You’ll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to learn ‘real world’ experience and accelerate your career by working with a leader in the oil and gas, aerospace, and entertainment industries. This intern position focuses on OT Cybersecurity.\nUltimately, you will defend an organization’s computer hardware, software and other systems from theft, loss and other cyberattacks.\nResponsibilities:\nDocument security configurations, events and assess the damage or risk they cause.\n\nWork with the OT Cyber security team to perform tests and uncover system vulnerabilities and help document\n\nRequest adjustments to detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.\n\nStay current on Information Technology (IT) and OT security trends and news.\n\nAssist in developing company-wide best practices for IT security.\n\nPerform penetration testing and Vulnerability scanning.\n\nHelp colleagues review security software and understand information security management.\n\n REQUIRED\n3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree associated with Cybersecurity.\nMinimum 3.0 GPA.\nExperience with Microsoft Office, IT Security applications and tools.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.\nNo relocation or housing assistance is being offered.\nInterested in work experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role.\nExperience in information security or related field.\nExperience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.\nUnderstanding of firewalls, SIEM, antivirus and IDPS concepts.\nAbility to research and identify solution vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.\nWorking Conditions\nThis position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.\nAlmost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night\n\nOccasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place\n\nWork surface is stable (flat)\n\nPhysical Activity/Requirements\n.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
