Working alongside IT, Procurement, and Finance professionals, you will help organize, analyze, and improve software asset information in ServiceNow while developing practical skills in data analysis, reporting, software licensing, contract administration, and enterprise technology management.\nKey Responsibilities\nCollect, organize, and maintain software contract, licensing, renewal, and entitlement documentation.\n\nAssist with maintaining software asset information and related records within ServiceNow.\n\nPerform data validation and quality checks on software inventory, licensing, and usageinformation.\n\nSupport data imports, normalization activities, and reporting processes under guidance from the SAM team.\n\nAssist with comparing software entitlement, installation, and usage information and help document discrepancies for review by the SAM team.\n\nAnalyze software inventory and usage data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential optimization opportunities.\n\nPrepare recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations that summarize software asset information, usage trends, data quality findings, and optimization opportunities.\n\nAssist with developing and improving reports, dashboards, and metrics used to support software asset management, technology governance, and decision-making activities.\n\nAssist with gathering documentation and supporting materials used during software licensing reviews and audit preparation activities.\n\nWork with IT, Procurement, Finance, and business stakeholders to validate and organize software asset information.\n\nDocument procedures, lessons learned, and process improvement opportunities\n\nUnder the guidance of the SAM team, complete a defined software asset data-quality, reporting, or process-improvement project and summarize the findings, recommendations, and measurable results for stakeholder review.\n\nParticipate in training and professional development while gaining exposure to software licensing, vendor management, IT governance, audit readiness, and technology cost management practices within a global enterprise environment.\n\nPrepare and deliver a concise end-of-internship presentation summarizing completed work, key findings, skills developed, and recommendations for future action.\n\nEssential Functions\n\nAbility to stay organized and manage multiple concurrent assignments.\n\nAbility to analyze data and determine where there are opportunities for improvement.\n\nAbility to track deadlines, complete assigned work on schedule, and communicate potential delays promptly.\n\nAbility to work with other teams and departments to support issue resolution and escalate matters when appropriate.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\n\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nReporting Relationship\n\nThis role reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Office of the CITO.\n\nREQUIRED\nCurrently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.\n\nMinimum GPA of 3.0\n\nStrong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new systems.\n\nEffective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.\n\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive contractand licensing information.\n\nDESIRED\nFamiliarity with ServiceNow or another IT service management or asset management platform.\n\nInterestin software licensing, contracts, and IT asset management.\n\nInterest in technology governance, IT operations, software licensing, or asset management.\n\nFamiliarity with data reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI.\n\nUnderstanding ofbasic procurement or purchase-order processes.\n\nExperience reviewing and organizing records or datasets.\n\nInterestin software usage analysis and cost optimization.\n\nITIL, IT asset management, or software asset management coursework.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics\nExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nCuriosity and persistence in investigating data discrepancies.\n\nAbility to share progress, findings, and questions clearly with the team\n\nWorking Conditions\nThis position is considered Hybrid/Office work which is characterized as follows.\nAlmost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night\n\nOccasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place\n\nWork surface is stable (flat)\n\nWorking from homesome days and from the office on others, as agreed with the Office of the CITO.\n\nPhysical Activity/Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
