You will work with designer engineers from a program’s initial stages through structural testing and completion, influence load path, and ensure structural integrity. The work spans static and dynamic studies, performing linear and non-linear structural analysis including transient shock, fatigue and fracture, bolt and weld analysis, defining load tests, DDAM, and documentation.\nApplicant must be a US citizen and have the capability to obtain a security clearance. Applicants with Top Secret/SCI with CI poly are preferred.\n Develop load cases and quantify loads for primary and secondary structures.\n\nPerform initial sizing of conceptual structure.\n\nPerform static analysis using industry standard methods (Bruhn, Roark, Shigley).\n\nPerform stress analysis by developing, solving, and post processing large FEA models using ANSYS.\n\nPossess an understanding of converting complex systems into simplified FEA.\n\nParticipate in design reviews.\n\nProperly document analysis.\n\nAdditional duties as assigned.\n\n Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program. Bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.\n\n5-15 years of experience in stress analysis.\n\nProficient in standard industry analytical methods (FEA and classical hand analysis).\n\nProficiency in ANSYS, NASTRAN, or similar. ANSYS is preferred.\n\nBasic proficiency in 3D CAD platform, preferably SolidWorks.\n\nFamiliar with a variety of analyses including static, dynamic, loads, nonlinear contact, stability, vibration, frequency response, transient shock, DDAM, bolt analysis, weld analysis, fatigue, fracture, structural optimization, and pressure vessel analysis.\n\nOrganizational skills and ability to prioritize daily activities to meet department objectives.\n\nVery good written communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and understand technical requirements and reports.\n\nMust be able to obtain a security clearance.\n\nWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
