Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.\nOceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Coordinator - Construction (3-year fixed term), who will mentor and monitor construction work groups to ensure compliance with Didipio Operation’s HSE Policies and Procedures, coordinate site construction activities to minimize their effect on Operations, ensure construction activities are completed to scope, on time and within budget and ensure project reporting is carried out as per the requirements of the Construction Superintendent. This role will report to the Superintendent - Construction.\nKey tasks and responsibilities\nPromote safety health & environmental awareness in order to prevent injuries and/or damage\nAssist the Construction Superintendent in identifying resource skills and opportunities within the Construction team to execute tasks and act as the liaison with these resources to initiate and manage the Capital works being undertaken\nParticipate in Schedule and Estimate development for Capital Works.\nParticipate in the design review process, focusing on implementation and constructability issues\nMonitor site activities and report progress against approved schedules.\nMonitor site activities and report non-conformance issues through the project management team.\nMonitor site activities to identify and then implement possible efficiencies and gains to assist in project delivery\nMaintain daily records of works management, including incidents, progress, delays and the achievement of milestones. Ensure the Construction Superintendent is promptly informed of all relevant matters and developments associated with construction activities and site works management.\nEnsure that housekeeping around Construction works is maintained to a high standard\nProvide data for the tracking and reporting against schedule for all projects as per the requirements of the PM.\nActively participates in works under area of control to ensure no impact on the critical path of the schedule.\nProvide data for the development and subsequent management of cost tracking of Construction Works as per direction of the PM.\nEnsure Contracts and/or Purchase Orders are in place and up to date with the correct approvals in place prior to work being undertaken.\nEnsure all works under area of control are completed to a standard that is fit for purpose and meets the end-users requirements.\n Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way\n5+ years Project Construction experience\n Mechanical Engineering Degree (or similar relevant tertiary qualification)\nExpertise in SMP (structural, mechanical, piping) disciplinesPrior construction supervisory experience\nUnderground experience is not required, but construction experience is essential.\nWith Experience and knowledge on machine commissioning and testing in collaboration with electrical aspects.\n\nFormal training or Qualifications in MS Project desirable.\nStrong results orientation and ability to consistently deliver against the plan.\nExcellent planning, organizing and prioritization capabilities\nThis role requires regular physical activity, occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds, and the ability to work in a mining environment with exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity\nMust be amenable to 3-year fixed term\n WHAT'S ON OFFER:\nCompetitive salary\nAccommodation and food provided on site\nHealth Insurance \nLiving Our Values recognition program\nAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nExceptional working environment where people are valued and respected\nYOU MATTER: OceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.
