This role involves complex network infrastructure systems across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with enterprise-level systems, strong expertise in Cisco and VMware technologies, and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex, interconnected environments. This role also requires excellent documentation skills, as well as experience managing system upgrades and evaluating new technologies and solutions.\nThis posting is intended to build a talent pipeline for anticipated future opportunities. \nLocation:\nHybrid- FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center - Egg Harbor, NJ\n Core Responsibilities & Duties\nDesign, implement, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable network architectures. \nOversee operations and performance of environments, ensuring uptime, redundancy, and resilience. \nImplement network modernization, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. \nManage and support core networking technologies including routing, switching, load balancing, and network security. \nProvide Tier 2 troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network issues. \nOversee and optimize performance using monitoring and diagnostic tools. \nCollaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless system integration. \nCreate and maintain network documentation, standards, and SOPs. \nSupport federal compliance standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, FAA guidelines where applicable). \nParticipate in strategic planning, capacity planning, and technology road mapping. \nParticipate in on-call rotation for critical issues. \nSupport configuration management and IT logistics activities. \nAssist with systems testing and maintenance. \nOccasional travel to government facilities is required. \nMonitor and analyze network logs, alerts, and telemetry to proactively identify and address potential failures before they impact operations.\nPerform security maintenance tasks on network infrastructure including vulnerability remediation, compliance patching, and verification of security hardening standards.\nThe responsibilities and duties listed above are flexible and subject to change based on operational need.\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in engineering, Science or Math\nExperience:\nA minimum of eight (8+) years of relevant experience in network engineering including design, implementation \nExperience with Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls) \nHands on experience implementing high availability and failover solutions (HSRP, VRRP, redundant paths, load balancing) \nExperience with network disaster recovery planning and execution \nExperience managing multi-site enterprise network environments \nExperience supporting both Windows and Linux environments \nExperience with VMware virtualization platforms \nExperience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, ManageEngine, or equivalent) \nStrong understanding of network security principles and best practices \nExperience creating technical documentation and system diagrams \nSecurity Clearance Requirement:\nCandidate must have the ability to hold and maintain a Secret Clearance\n Preferred Qualifications\nExperience with Cisco technologies including ASA, ISR, and Catalyst platforms \nExperience with data center network operations \nFamiliarity with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket \nExperience with closed network systems and data streaming protocols \nExperience with wide area network engineering and radar data distribution environments \nProficient in Linux environments, primarily RHEL and CentOS \nExperience with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.) \nFAA NAS experience \nExperience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments \nFamiliarity with CIS security guidelines and configuration compliance \nRelevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or other networking or security certifications \nOther Required Skills and Abilities\nStrong problem solving and analytical skills \nStrong troubleshooting skills in complex, interconnected environments \nStrong communication and teamwork abilities \nSelf-motivated with ability to work independently \nAbility to adapt to evolving technologies and changing requirements \nStrong organizational and documentation skills \nAbout Us: At OCH, we are more than just a government contracting firm; we are innovators and leaders in providing cutting-edge IT services and cybersecurity solutions.
