This position provides systems analysis, systems administration, hardware lifecycle management, and inventory support for the program. The role is responsible for managing the program depot inventory, supporting equipment procurement and deployment, maintaining asset tracking systems, and ensuring configuration items are properly documented and baselined. The position also provides systems administration support to the engineering team, assisting with the daily administration and maintenance of infrastructure systems.\nThis posting is intended to build a talent pipeline for anticipated future opportunities. \nLocation:\nHybrid- FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor, NJ\n Core Responsibilities & Duties\nProvide product evaluation and recommendations for procurement of system hardware, software, and equipment spares and replacements to maintain program projects.\nConduct organizational and depot level logistics support for program projects.\nProvide planning, coordination, and oversight of equipment deployments, including developing deployment plans before scheduled deployments.\nCreate and maintain logistics records (shipping documentation, procurement documentation, vendor support warranty) within the program ticketing and asset tracking system.\nCreate and maintain an equipment database for hardware, software, warranties, licenses, spares, and replacements.\nManage hardware and software warranties and create/submit warranty claims to vendors, including developing warranty failure reports following an incident.\nProvide quarterly organizational and depot level status reports.\nDefine, manage, and track all designated Configuration Items (CIs) within program infrastructure, including: Hardware, Software. \nEnsure configuration compliance with CIS security guidelines and best practices, except where FAA security policy deviates.\nConduct regular configuration audits to verify the actual state of CIs against documented baselines and report any discrepancies.\nMaintain and coordinate spare parts inventory to support rapid replacement of failed components and minimize downtime.\nProvide hardware lifecycle management support including installation, upgrades, replacement of components, and identification of end of life/end of support equipment.\nAssist the engineering team with systems administration tasks including server builds, OS patching, user account management, and routine system maintenance.\nSupport the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux and Windows servers and associated infrastructure.\nMonitor system performance and assist engineers with capacity planning, performance tuning, and incident response.\nPerform routine administrative tasks such as backup verification, log review, and access control management.\nResponsibilities may evolve over time to support team and organizational goals, but will remain consistent with the overall scope of the role.\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Math or related field\nExperience:\nA minimum of five (5)+ years of relevant experience \nExperience in systems analysis, hardware lifecycle management, and IT logistics/inventory management \nDemonstrated ability to manage asset tracking systems and equipment databases \nExperience with configuration management processes including baselining, version control, and change management \nKnowledge of IT hardware components including servers, network devices, storage systems, and associated cabling \nExperience creating and maintaining procurement and logistics documentation \nFamiliarity with CIS security guidelines and configuration compliance \nStrong organizational and documentation skills \nExperience working in and supporting Linux (RHEL 9) environments \nExperience administering windows server environments \nExperience with VMware virtualization platforms \nSecurity Clearance Requirement:\nCandidate must have the ability to hold and maintain a Secret Clearance\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior government contracting experience, particularly supporting FAA, DoD, DHS, or other federal agencies \nFamiliarity with NIST standards and federal IT asset management requirements \nExperience with depot level logistics operations \nITIL Foundation or similar service management certification \nCompTIA A+ or Network+ certification \nOther Required Skills and Abilities\nMust be able to effectively communicate with customers and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract. \nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook. \nAbout Us: At OCH, we are more than just a government contracting firm; we are innovators and leaders in providing cutting-edge IT services and cybersecurity solutions.
