Together we are leading the way.\nThis job supports the Facilities Development and Facilities Management teams through the use of drafting and design technology by creating new drawings, updating existing drawings and life safety code plans, as well as compiling technical data bases. Contents are subject to change at the company's discretion.\nEducation \nRequired - High School Diploma or equivalent\nPreferred - Associates of Applied Sciences in drafting & design technology or a related field (architectural, construction, interior design)\nWork Experience\nRequired - 1 year experience with drafting and design technology\nPreferred - Drafting experience in architectural, mechanical, and electrical fields\nKnowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)\nMust have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.\nMust be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.\nStrong interpersonal skills.\nWorking knowledge and experience operating IBM compatible PC, HP plotter, HP laser jet printer and other miscellaneous peripherals.\nGood organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to organize technical information into comprehensible data bases.\nAbility to and experience working under stressful situations with frequent interruptions.\nJob Duties\nConducts field (interior and exterior) investigations and verifies existing as-built conditions and computerizes or inserts files of new conditions supplied by architects.\nUpdates and manages all computer drawing files, as well as hard copies and related data bases of existing facilities.\nPrepares documentation of miscellaneous construction activities and inspects contractor work consistent with organizational standards.\nSupports various departments, project engineers and outside consultants.\nAssists Project Manager(s) with design, coordination and review of projects with users and consultants.\nAttends construction meetings.\nCompiles technical databases for special requests and/or to satisfy requirements of regulatory agencies.\nOther related duties as required.
