You will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing complex financial statements and management accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting frameworks. In addition, you will play an active role in reviewing work, sharing knowledge, and coaching junior colleagues, helping to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.\nMain Responsibilities\nAs part of the team, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients and ensure the delivery of high-quality accounting services within agreed deadlines. Key responsibilities include:\nPrepare and review financial statements, management accounts, reconciliations, and accounting records, delivering accurate and timely results.\nAct as a key point of contact for clients, providing responsive support and maintaining excellent service throughout the engagement.\nPrepare and review VAT returns, bank and investment reconciliations, and other accounting schedules for a range of client structures.\nSupport and coach junior team members by sharing your knowledge, providing feedback, and helping them grow in their roles.\nFoster a collaborative team environment by offering guidance, technical support, and assistance whenever needed.\nWork closely with Managers and Assistant Managers to deliver client work, resolve technical matters, and achieve team objectives.\nLiaise with auditors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely completion of audits.\nEnsure working papers, documentation, and client records are maintained to a high standard and in line with Ocorian procedures.\nAssist with the planning and monitoring of budgets to support the efficient delivery of client services.\nProactively identify and escalate risks, issues, or client concerns, working collaboratively to find effective solutions.\nContribute to process improvements, team projects, and initiatives that enhance the client and employee experience.\nProvide accounting expertise to clients across multiple jurisdictions within the Ocorian Group.\nDemonstrate professionalism, integrity, and discretion at all times, safeguarding the confidentiality of client, employee, and company information.\nACCA/ACA fully qualified and/or having first degree in accounting field or qualified by virtue of relevant experience in Finance industry and or Accounting/Auditing experience.\nKnowledge, Skills & Experience\n4-6 years of experience preparing client accounts within financial services, accounting, or audit.\nExposure to Real Estate and/or Private Equity structures.\nExperience in Real Estate accounting is advantageous.\nWorking knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.\nExperience with EFront and Value Financials is desirable.\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills.\nA collaborative mindset with a passion for supporting and developing others.\n All staff are expected to embody our core values that underpin everything that we do and that reflect the skills and behaviours we all need to be successful.
