Combining specialist expertise with scalable technology, we act as an extension of our clients’ teams, supporting the needs of their businesses, funds, portfolio assets and investors.\nAs part of the team, you’ll work with colleagues to help clients navigate operational challenges, manage risk and build efficient, resilient operations. You’ll contribute to services that reduce the day-to-day burden on asset managers, giving them more time to focus on their investors, investment performance and growth.\nWhat’s In It For You\nCompetitive salary \nWe are globally hybrid (please check the specifics for this role during interview process)\nFlexible working hours \nPrivate Pension Plan fully paid by the company after probation\nPrivate medical insurance with Catastrophe cover fully paid by the company\nEmployee recognition program and spot bonuses \n Purpose of the Job\nResponsible for the planning and preparation of financial reports for a portfolio of funds, ensuring reporting deadlines are met and the delivery of client accounting requirements are in compliance with Ocorian’s contractual obligations.\nMain Responsibilities\nDevelop an understanding of all entities within the fund structure, the nature of their transactions and reporting requirements.\nDevelop and maintain a process to ensure the timely delivery of client accounting requirements in relation to financial reports and accounts for all entities in allocated portfolio.\nEnsure that current accounting standards (UK GAAP, IFRS or US GAAP) and best practice principles are applied to the accounts production process and kept current as such standards and principles develop.\nEstablish reporting procedures for new funds and other entities based on fund documents and client reporting requirements.\nProvide guidance and support to administration team to ensure that the bookkeeping arising from transactions is performed in a timely and accurate manner.\nCalculate Net Asset Values in accordance with individual funds’ requirements.\nLiaise with clients and other professional advisers to agree timetables for the production of accounts.\nAttend board meetings and other client meetings to present accounts and discuss accounting related matters.\nLiaise with auditors to ensure the timely completion of audits for fund and fund related entities.\nEnsure that regulatory and statutory reporting requirements are met.\nEnsure Ocorian’s policies and procedures are used and adhered to within the accounts team and contribute to the continuing development of those policies and procedures.\nAttendance at client meetings in place of or as well as the Senior Manager, to advise the client on administrative matters and to ensure that any requests from the board are adequately adhered to.\nAny other such duties that might be reasonably required for this role.\nACCA/ACA fully qualified and/or be experienced by virtue of relevant experience\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience\nFinance Industry and or Accounting experience within or with exposure to the Private Equity/ Real Estates/ Corporate environment is desirable\nSolid and pragmatic accounting skills and technical accounting knowledge\nExcellent presentational, written and verbal communication skills\nMeticulous attention to detail\nExcellent organisational and planning skills including managing expectations which will include determining that which is important versus that which is urgent\nAdvanced Excel skills and strong IT skills\nProfessionalism and ability to win the respect of clients\nAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a team\nAbility to interact with colleagues at all levels\nThe drive to make continuous improvements\nFlexibility to adapt as the role develops\n All staff are expected to embody our core values that underpin everything that we do and that reflect the skills and behaviours we all need to be successful.
