Working alongside experienced developers and project managers, you will gain hands-on experience, develop your technical skills, and contribute to the successful delivery of technology solutions across Ocorian.\nYou will also build knowledge of Ocorian's core systems, including NavOne, Viewpoint, and iManage, while gaining valuable insight into the financial services industry.\nMain Responsibilities\nWork closely with the Development Manager and wider team to support the design, development, and delivery of software solutions.\nContribute to team discussions and development meetings, sharing ideas and learning from experienced colleagues.\nContinuously build your technical knowledge by learning the codebase, development tools, and best practices.\nWrite, maintain, and improve code to support business applications and technology initiatives.\nAssist with troubleshooting and resolving software bugs and issues.\nMonitor the performance of internal applications and help identify opportunities for improvement.\nRespond to support requests and collaborate with colleagues to deliver effective solutions.\nCreate reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights for business users.\nConduct testing to ensure applications are reliable, perform as expected, and meet business requirements.\nTake an active role in your professional development, contributing to a collaborative and continuous learning culture.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field \nKnowledge, Skill and experience\nA basic understanding of C# and .NET would be beneficial, with a willingness to continue learning and developing technical skills.\nFamiliarity with software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, and testing approaches.\nExperience using development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, and Azure DevOps is an advantage.\nAn interest in cloud technologies, with exposure to Azure services considered beneficial.\nKnowledge of Microsoft SQL and relational databases.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning and overcoming challenges.\nGood communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues.\nA team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to share knowledge, learn from others, and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.\n All staff are expected to embody our core values that underpin everything that we do and that reflect the skills and behaviours we all need to be successful.
