Thrive in an environment that invests in innovation, R&D, and manufacturing capabilities while offering opportunities for professional development and career advancement.\nWhat we offer\nContinuous learning, mentoring, and professional development\nPerformance bonus\nEmployee share purchase program\nComprehensive insurance coverage, including medical, dental, and telemedicine services\nEnhanced sick leave and wellness program\nPaid holiday week between Christmas and New Year’s Day\nModern offices in the heart of Technopôle Angus\n75% reimbursement of your OPUS transit pass\nSecure bicycle storage and on-site showers\nSocial activities and community involvement, including support for Le Phare, Enfants et Familles\n We are currently looking for a:\nMaterial Planner\nReporting to the Production Planner, the Material Planner is responsible for translating production requirements into concrete actions through material requirements planning, manufacturing master data management, and the execution of manufacturing-related transactional processes.\nThe incumbent is responsible for creating and monitoring Manufacturing Orders (MOs), as well as managing planning parameters within the ERP system.\nThe Material Planner acts as a key partner to the Production, Inventory, Logistics, Engineering, and Procurement teams to ensure the effective execution of the production plan and support the growth of manufacturing operations.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nMaterial Requirements Planning:\nAnalyze system-generated requirements.\nPlan material requirements needed to support the production plan.\nEnsure the availability of raw materials, components, and subassemblies required for manufacturing.\nMaintain planning parameters within the ERP system.\nPerform material coverage analyses to identify risks that could impact the production plan.\nIdentify potential shortages and coordinate required actions with the relevant stakeholders.\nParticipate in production planning meetings.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of the manufacturing plan.\nManufacturing Order (MO) Management:\nCreate, plan, and release Manufacturing Orders in the ERP system.\nValidate component availability before releasing Manufacturing Orders.\nPrioritize Manufacturing Orders based on production plan requirements.\nMonitor the daily progress of Manufacturing Orders.\nCoordinate required activities with the Production, Inventory, and Logistics teams.\nIdentify and resolve material constraints that may impact production schedules.\nEnsure Manufacturing Orders are properly closed in the ERP system.\nAnalyze consumption, yield, and production variances associated with Manufacturing Orders.\nEnsure the integrity and accuracy of ERP transactions related to manufacturing activities.\nParticipate in the continuous improvement of production planning and execution processes.\nContinuous Improvement:\nParticipate in the improvement of ERP and MRP processes.\nDevelop and maintain performance indicators related to material planning and production execution.\nParticipate in projects aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes.\nRecommend improvements to increase operational efficiency and strengthen manufacturing operations.\nContribute to initiatives supporting the growth and transformation of manufacturing operations.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nEducation:\nCollege diploma (DEC) or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.\nAn equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.\nExperience:\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, production planning, manufacturing operations, or inventory management.\nDemonstrated experience working with an ERP/MRP system.\nExperience creating, managing, and monitoring Manufacturing Orders.\nPROFIL:\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.\nSolid understanding of manufacturing processes.\nGood knowledge of ERP concepts and processes.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and accountable.\nResults-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.\nProficiency in both French and English, spoken and written.\n\nAt Octasic, you will contribute to developing cutting-edge technologies that help Canada and its allies better understand, protect, and secure an ever-changing world.
