looking for a strong software-oriented engineer to help build and scale the infrastructure, tooling, automation, and observability capabilities behind our system verification and validation environments.\nThis role focuses on developing the software infrastructure required to automate system validation workflows, control devices under test (DUTs), orchestrate external lab equipment, manage telemetry and KPI collection, and support scalable regression and integration testing across complex wireless and embedded systems.\nYou will work closely with the following teams to create reliable, automated, and data-driven validation ecosystems supporting advanced communication platforms and mission-critical applications:\nSoftware developers; \nsystem engineers;\nhardware teams;\nRF/lab engineers;\nverification & validation teams.\nThis is not a traditional QA role.\nWe are looking for engineers who enjoy building scalable automation systems, tooling infrastructure, telemetry workflows, and integration platforms in fast-evolving engineering environments.\nWhat you'll do:\nAutomation & Infrastructure Development:\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and validation infrastructure;\nBuild software systems to automate validation workflows and regression testing;\nDevelop Python/C++ tooling for: DuT control, UE interaction, external instrument orchestration, telemetry acquisition, KPI extraction, automated analysis;\nIntegrate and automate communication with: Spectrum analyzers, signal generators, channel emulators, oscilloscopes, networking equipment, embedded systems, wireless devices.\nValidation Platform Engineering:\nDevelop APIs, services, utilities, and orchestration layers supporting automated V&V workflows;\nSupport complete test bench automation and system integration;\nImprove scalability, reliability, and maintainability of validation environments;\nCreate reusable validation libraries, services, and tooling components.\nTelemetry, Observability & Data Pipelines:\nDevelop telemetry ingestion and monitoring workflows using technologies such as: MQTT, Kafka, ETL pipelines, logging and tracing frameworks;\nSupport observability and system monitoring workflows;\nDevelop KPI extraction and automated analysis pipelines;\nSupport dashboarding, reporting, and regression analytics.\nCI/CD & Software Integration:\nIntegrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines;\nSupport automated deployment, execution, and reporting workflows;\nCollaborate with software teams to improve testability and release quality;\nSupport regression automation and infrastructure scalability.\nDebugging & System Integration:\nInvestigate integration and system issues using logs, traces, packet captures, telemetry, API analysis, network debugging;\nWork with development and system teams to isolate root causes and validate fixes;\nSupport reproducibility of system and field issues in controlled environments.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience;\nStrong software development skills in Python, C++, Bash/Shell scripting;\nExperience building: automation frameworks, validation tooling, software infrastructure, regression platforms, orchestration systems;\nExperience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), Git/version-control workflows, Linux environments, Docker/containerized execution;\nExperience with networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, Ethernet, API integration, system debugging;\nFamiliarity with Wireshark, telemetry collection, observability concepts, log-based troubleshooting;\nExperience with Playwright, Pytest, automation frameworks, backend/API validation;\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in evolving engineering environments;\nEligible to obtain Canadian Security Clearance.\nKey assets:\nExperience with: wireless systems, LTE/5G, RF environments, embedded systems;\nExperience integrating lab instrumentation: spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNAs, channel emulators, oscilloscopes;\nExperience with NI ecosystem tools such as TestStand, LabVIEW, PXI-based systems, SCPI/VISA instrument control, or automated measurement environments;\nExperience with:
