looking for a hands-on and automation-oriented engineer to support system verification and validation activities across complex wireless and embedded platforms.\nThis role focuses on developing and maintaining automated test suites, executing validation workflows, analyzing failures, debugging integration issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our validation infrastructure and lab environments.\nYou will work closely with the following teams to help ensure reliable, repeatable, and scalable validation of mission-critical communication systems:\nsoftware developers;\nsystem engineers;\nhardware teams;\nRF/lab engineers;\nverification & validation teams;\nV&V infrastructure and automation developers.\nThis is not a traditional manual QA role.\nWe are looking for engineers who enjoy automation, system integration, debugging, and hands-on validation work in fast-evolving engineering environments.\nWhat you'll do:\nTest Development & Automation:\nDevelop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for system-level validation;\nCreate automated and semi-automated validation workflows for regression, integration, and functional testing;\nDevelop Python-based scripts and utilities for DUT interaction, UE control, telemetry collection, and test orchestration;\nExpand and improve test coverage across software, hardware, and integrated system environments;\nWork with Playwright, Pytest, APIs, and automation frameworks to validate backend services and user workflows.\nValidation Execution & System Testing:\nExecute functional, integration, regression, and system-level validation activities;\nRun automated validation suites in lab and CI/CD environments;\nValidate interoperability between software, embedded systems, networking components, wireless devices, and lab equipment;\nSupport reproduction of field and system issues in controlled validation environments;\nAssist with setup, configuration, and operation of validation benches and lab environments.\nDebugging & Failure Analysis:\nInvestigate failures using logs, traces, telemetry, packet captures, SQL queries, API analysis, and network debugging tools;\nAnalyze regression failures and help isolate software, configuration, infrastructure, or integration issues;\nIdentify issues in validation frameworks and infrastructure and collaborate with senior infrastructure developers to improve tooling and automation reliability;\nWork closely with software and system teams to reproduce defects and validate fixes.\nInfrastructure & Automation Contribution:\nContribute improvements to automation frameworks, test infrastructure, and execution workflows;\nSupport CI/CD-integrated validation and automated execution pipelines;\nHelp improve scalability, maintainability, and repeatability of validation environments;\nSupport telemetry, KPI collection, automated reporting, and result analysis workflows.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience;\nStrong programming and scripting skills in Python;\nFamiliarity with C++, Bash/Shell scripting, or automation-oriented software development;\nExperience developing automated test suites and validation scripts;\nExperience with Pytest, Playwright, API testing, backend/system validation, or automation frameworks;\nExperience with CI/CD environments such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps;\nExperience with Linux environments and Git/version-control workflows;\nKnowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, Ethernet, APIs, and system debugging;\nFamiliarity with Wireshark, log analysis, telemetry collection, and troubleshooting workflows;\nStrong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to investigate complex integration and system issues;\nAbility to work in fast-changing engineering environments with evolving requirements;\nEligible to obtain Canadian Security Clearance.\nAssets:\nExperience with wireless systems, LTE/5G, embedded systems, or RF environments;\nExperience with automated lab equipment and instrumentation environments;\nFamiliarity with NI ecosystem tools such as TestStand, LabVIEW, PXI systems, SCPI/VISA instrument control, or automated measurement environments;\nExperience using
