  • Partner with Multimedia, Video, Lighting, and production teams to deliver integrated event and broadcast solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop audio technicians and junior engineers, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Support video production teams with pre-production, live production, and post-production audio needs.

  • Establish and maintain quality standards for live audio, recorded content, communications, and other audio deliverables.
  • Coordinate with event vendors and television broadcast trucks to ensure audio and communications requirements are met.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve operational issues, service concerns, and emergency repairs promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor live audio mixes while simultaneously receiving and responding to production direction and cues.
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities effectively in a fast-paced live-event environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in live-event audio engineering, production, or a related field, preferably within an arena, entertainment venue, broadcast, or similarly complex production environment.
  • Prior experience leading or providing technical direction to audio technicians or production teams is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of professional entertainment and live-event audio systems.
  • Proficiency with Yamaha CL5 digital mixing consoles or comparable platforms.
  • Proficiency with Dante, MADI, Q-SYS, and related audio-networking and signal-distribution technologies.
  • Strong understanding of audio engineering best practices, including signal flow, system routing, gain structure, loudspeaker placement, and microphone selection and placement.
  • Proficiency with Riedel communications systems; experience with Evertz routing systems is preferred.
  • Understanding of emergency-notification and assistive-listening systems, including hard-of-hearing (HOH) announcement systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow direction, collaborate across disciplines, and maintain a professional, solutions-oriented approach in demanding live-event environments.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekdays, weekends, holidays, split shifts, late nights, and overnight shifts.
  • Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including prolonged standing and walking; bending; reaching; working with arms raised; navigating concrete, uneven, and slippery surfaces; repeatedly lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; climbing portable and fixed ladders; and occasionally working at heights above 10 feet.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments that may include temperature changes, inclement weather, bright lighting, loud noise, dust, and other conditions.
