We're looking for a strong foundation and the motivation to grow through practical work and feedback.\n\nWhat you will be doing\n\nDevelop and maintain automated UI tests using Java and Playwright.\n\nWrite API tests (REST and GraphQL) using RestAssured and validate data using SQL.\n\nMaintain Page Objects, reusable components, and test data following existing framework conventions.\n\nAnalyze requirements and identify test scenarios, edge cases, and suitable candidates for automation.\n\nInvestigate test failures using Allure reports, Playwright traces, logs and database queries.\n\nPerform manual checks when needed to understand features and verify issues.\n\nRun automated tests locally and in CI, and help keep the test suite reliable.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and improve your work through feedback.\n\nWhat we are looking for\n\nPractical experience writing automated tests in Java, gained through commercial work, an internship, or personal projects.\n\nJava fundamentals: OOP, collections, and exceptions.\n\nHands-on experience with a UI automation tool such as Playwright, Selenium, or Selenide.\n\nFamiliarity with a test framework such as TestNG or JUnit, and with the Page Object pattern.\n\nWeb and HTTP fundamentals: DOM, CSS selectors, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, and cookies.\n\nKnowledge of testing fundamentals, test design techniques, and clear bug reporting.\n\nBasic SQL (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN) and everyday Git usage.\n\nIntermediate (B1) or higher English for discussing tasks and issues with international colleagues.\n\nNice to have\n\nExperience with Playwright for Java and TestNG.\n\nAPI automation with RestAssured; basic understanding of GraphQL.\n\nFamiliarity with Gradle, Allure reports, and CI pipelines.\n\nExperience testing e-commerce flows such as checkout, payments, promotions, or subscriptions.\n\nBasic knowledge of Docker or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).\n\nJava generics and the Stream API.\n\nWorking with AI\n\nOur team actively uses AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code and Cursor) to explore unfamiliar code, generate test ideas, support investigations, and write and improve automated tests.
