The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support, development and continuous improvement across NetSuite while also contributing to integrations, internal applications, automation and other business-system initiatives.\nThis is not a traditional help-desk role and it is not purely an application-development position. We are looking for someone who can understand how a business process works, identify where a system or workflow is creating friction, and develop a practical technical solution.\nThe role will work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Customer Experience, eCommerce and other departments, as well as internal and external technology resources. The successful candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of technical issues, investigating root causes and developing maintainable solutions rather than relying exclusively on outside consultants.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nNetSuite Development & Administration\nSupport, maintain and continuously improve O'Dell's Oracle NetSuite ERP environment.\nDevelop and maintain NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.x and related NetSuite development tools.\nBuild and maintain SuiteFlow workflows, saved searches, reports, dashboards, forms, fields, records and other NetSuite configurations.\nDevelop and maintain SuiteAnalytics and SuiteQL queries and data extracts.\nTroubleshoot NetSuite application, workflow, script, permission, transaction and data issues.\nAssist with user roles, permissions, access and application configuration.\nSupport NetSuite releases, testing, sandbox management and deployment of system changes.\nReview existing customizations and scripts and improve reliability, maintainability and documentation.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify or eliminate unnecessary customizations where standard NetSuite functionality can meet the business need.\nSupport data imports, data cleansing, record updates and system configuration related to acquisitions or business changes.\nWork with Finance and operational teams to improve ERP processes and reduce manual work.\nSystems Integration\nDevelop and maintain integrations between NetSuite and other O'Dell systems using REST APIs, SuiteTalk, web services, middleware and other integration technologies.\nSupport integrations between NetSuite and platforms such as CRM, Shopify, Power BI, Microsoft applications and other business systems.\nTroubleshoot failed integrations, scheduled processes, APIs and data exchanges.\nMonitor integration performance and identify recurring issues or opportunities for improvement.\nHelp establish clear documentation and ownership of APIs, automated jobs and material data flows.\nSupport testing and validation when systems or integrations are changed.\nBusiness Process Automation\nWork directly with employees and business leaders to understand existing processes and identify opportunities for automation.\nDevelop workflows, scripts and applications that reduce repetitive administrative work and improve accuracy.\nIdentify manual spreadsheet-based processes that can be replaced with reliable system workflows.\nDevelop practical tools that improve employee productivity and system usability.\nSupport automation using NetSuite capabilities, Microsoft Power Platform and other appropriate technologies.\nHelp evaluate opportunities to responsibly use AI-enabled tools within internal workflows.\nReporting & Data\nSupport reporting requirements using NetSuite saved searches, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteQL and related tools.\nAssist with reliable data feeds from NetSuite into Power BI and other reporting platforms.\nWork with business and data resources to ensure reporting logic is accurate and maintainable.\nTroubleshoot inconsistencies between NetSuite and downstream reporting systems.\nSupport data quality, validation and cleanup activities.\nDevelop queries and extracts required for operational, financial and management reporting.\nInternal Applications & Development\nDevelop and maintain internal web applications, utilities and business tools where appropriate.\nWork across technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, C# or other appropriate platforms depending on project requirements.\nSupport existing internally developed applications and troubleshoot technical issues.\nBuild lightweight applications and interfaces where extending NetSuite or another existing platform is not the appropriate solution.\nFollow appropriate source-control, testing, deployment, security and documentation practices.\nSystems Support & Continuous Improvement\nServe as an escalation resource for complex NetSuite and business-system issues.\nInvestigate root causes rather than repeatedly addressing symptoms.\nWork with users to reproduce, troubleshoot and resolve system issues.\nCoordinate with Oracle NetSuite support, consultants and other vendors when outside expertise is required.\nMaintain technical documentation for scripts, integrations, customizations, configurations and recurring support procedures.\nIdentify recurring system problems and recommend permanent solutions.\nParticipate in technology projects related to acquisitions, eCommerce, CRM, reporting, automation and other business-system initiatives.\nSupport testing, change management and user acceptance testing for system improvements.\nStay current on NetSuite functionality and recommend opportunities to use new platform capabilities.\nWhat You Bring\nThree plus (3+) years of professional software development, NetSuite development, ERP technical support or related experience.\nDemonstrated hands-on experience working with Oracle NetSuite in a production business environment.\nExperience with SuiteScript 2.x or strong JavaScript development experience combined with meaningful NetSuite experience.\nExperience with NetSuite configuration including workflows, saved searches, custom records, forms, fields, roles and permissions.\nExperience with SuiteAnalytics and/or SuiteQL.\nExperience working with APIs, web services, databases and system integrations.\nStrong JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills.\nExperience with SQL or other data-querying technologies.\nExperience with Git or another source-control platform.\nStrong understanding of business processes and the relationship between ERP configuration, data and operational workflows.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical employees.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize competing requests and take ownership of technical issues through resolution.\nPreferred Experience\nThe following experience would be considered an asset:\nNetSuite certifications or advanced NetSuite administration/development experience.\nExperience withSuiteTalk REST or SOAP web services.\n\nExperience with NetSuite RESTlets and integration development.\nExperience supporting NetSuite financial, inventory, purchasing, order management or warehouse processes.\nExperience in a distribution, wholesale, manufacturing or multi-location organization.\nExperience integrating NetSuite with Shopify, CRM platforms, Power BI or Microsoft applications.\nExperience with Microsoft Azure or Power Platform.\nExperience with React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, Python, C# or similar technologies.\nExperience developing internal applications or workflow automation.\nExperience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or similar platforms.\nExperience with candidates ideally located in or near Burlington, ON, Calgary, AB, or Montréal, QC.
