The Role

As a Frontend Engineer, you will build the UI that factory floor teams rely on to get insights from their data, and you'll build it so it can be extended and adapted in a self-service way using AI tools. That means building the visual components, the AI interaction interface, and all the supporting code that lets an AI agent assemble those pieces together for a user.

Oden is looking for a senior engineer with a strong AI-forward mindset, someone who is comfortable building with AI tools and building AI-native products, and who wants real time and space to tinker, experiment, and run research spikes rather than just execute against a fixed spec. You'll work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Data Scientists across the company (this is primarily an internal-facing, cross-functional role).

This role is based in Brazil or Argentina and is a full-time position. Candidates must be available to work 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

• Build the visual components, the AI interaction interface, and the supporting code that allow an AI agent to assemble and adapt our factory-floor UI, so users can self-serve changes to how the product looks and behaves

• Help drive product delivery by implementing new features and prototypes using the best tools for the problem at hand. Most often you'll build on our prior art: React SPAs and the GraphQL/Golang APIs that back them

• Work with Product, Design, and Data Science to understand our users' problems and identify solutions

• Take part in unstructured hackathons and research spikes to test new ideas and technologies, some of our best product ideas come out of this kind of exploration

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience (senior level)

• Proficiency with React and TypeScript

• Familiarity with one or more backend-focused programming languages, such as Golang, Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar

• Familiarity with data storage and processing systems in cloud environments

• An AI-forward mindset: you build with AI tools (general-purpose LLMs like Claude and ChatGPT, and beyond) for coding, design, collaboration, and documenting knowledge, and you've built or contributed to products that let others use AI to change how the product looks or behaves

• A tinkering mindset: you're energized by experimentation and open-ended research spikes, not just prescriptive spec work

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and non-technical internal stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (not required)

Technologies We Use:

• Frontend language is TypeScript, leveraging the React library

• Different backend languages, including Go and Python

• Open-source technologies like Postgres, Clickhouse, gRPC, GraphQL, Apache Beam

• Standard infrastructure and build tooling, including Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub, etc.
