While there may not be an immediate opening, candidates will be considered as positions become available based on their qualifications and program needs.\nOdyssey is seeking experienced Avionics Integration Engineers at various levels to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) and Special Operations Forces (SOF) Directorate (AFLCMC/WI) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. AFLCMC/WI is responsible for equipping warfighters to win the fight. The Directorate executes a $22 billion acquisition portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms, and related sub-systems.\nThis role assists in providing rotary wing avionics engineering, consultation, and support to design, develop, manufacture, integrate, test, and deploy supportable airborne weapon systems, including integrated avionics, embedded computer systems, software, and electronic maintenance systems.\nResponsibilities\nDuties may include, but are not limited to:\nSupport anti-tamper compliance and IA assessment\nProviding knowledge and guidance and producing artifacts where required in the following areas: systems integration, OSS&E, airworthiness certification, safety, and Life Cycle Systems Engineering.\nServe as a specialist in rotary wing avionics systems integration, focusing on tactical data links, position location, display, digital interphone, and identification technologies.\nCoordinate with various engineering teams such as structures, crew systems, manufacturing, and system safety.\nAssist with information management certification/accreditation; develop IA controls, test strategies, identify and mitigate risks to secure interim or full authority to operate.\nSupport FCA/PCA audits, aircraft/simulator certifications, technical evaluations, environmental and hazardous material management, deficiency reporting, mission planning system integration, and geospatial data updates.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nCitizenship: Must be a US Citizen\nClearance: Secret\nEducation and experience:\n Journeyman (level 2): Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and 3 years of related experience, 3 of which must be in the DoD; OR, 7 years of directly related experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD.\n Senior (level 3): Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 10 years of related experience in the, 5 years of which must be in the DoD; OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of related experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD; OR, 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be in the DoD\n Principal (level 4): Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least 20 years of related experience, 12 years of which must be in the DoD; OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 25 years of related experience, 15 years of which must be in the DoD; OR, 30 years of directly related experience, 20 years of which must be in the DoD.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCurrent Top Secret clearance\nABET-accredited Engineering degree\nExperience with rotary wing avionics systems integration\nFamiliarity with FCA/PCA audits and certifications\nAdditionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:\nTechnical Skills\nStrong background in information assurance and risk mitigation\nKnowledge of MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882, and DAFI 63-1201 standards\nInterpersonal Skills\nAbility to clearly communicate complex technical information\nAbility to lead and guide multidisciplinary teams\nEffective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills\nStrong organization and attention to detail\nAdaptability in fast-changing technical environments\nSound professional judgment when handling sensitive information\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Wright Patterson AFB, OH\nTravel: as required by program needs\nWork Environment: Onsite\nThis is an evergreen position designed to proactively identify and engage highly qualified candidates for future openings across Odyssey’s portfolio of acquisition and program management support efforts.
