The Cybersecurity Test Lead will help plan, manage, and execute Cybersecurity Developmental and Operational Test & Evaluation (DT&E/OT&E) activities for major DoD programs, ensuring mission readiness and compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements. This role supports multi-disciplinary test teams performing system security analysis on military systems and software to identify vulnerabilities across aircraft, weapon systems, cloud architectures, and traditional IP-based environments. This is a full-time position located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, with approximately 25% travel.\nResponsibilities\nDuties include, but not limited to:\nCybersecurity Test Planning & Management\nManage cybersecurity test projects and program objectives with DoD and federal agency customers.\nTrack team test requirements and support the team in meeting program objectives.\nProvide input to test plans documenting objectives, methods, and resources.\nSupport development of program cost and schedule estimates.\nBecome fully proficient in the Cyber DT&E Test Process/Guidebook.\nCyber Test Execution & Reporting\nCoordinate test resources to ensure successful program execution.\nOversee cyber test event planning, coordination, execution, analysis, and reporting.\nSupport administrative and logistical preparation required for test events.\nDocument and communicate test results to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and oral formats.\nStay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats and update testing plans and procedures accordingly.\nAssist in developing cybersecurity test strategies for DoD systems.\nTeam Leadership & Collaboration\nManage diverse cybersecurity test teams and provide oversight for multi-skilled test efforts.\nAttend meetings with customers to prepare test teams for upcoming events.\nWork both independently and collaboratively, maintaining strict adherence to security protocols and professional standards.\nParticipate in 5-10 day test events, with extended or variable hours as needed.\nQualifications\nCitizenship: Must be a US citizen\nMinimum Required Qualifications\nClearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance\nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and at least 3 years of relevant technical experience in test management, cybersecurity, computer engineering, computer science, or IT systems - or equivalent combinations of experience and education.\nCertifications: DoD 8140 required\nExperience with DoD developmental and/or operational test processes.\nExperience with aircraft and weapon system testing and evaluation.\nBackground in Aircraft, Weapon, Cloud, and/or traditional IP system architectures or avionics.\nStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExperience managing diverse teams.\nDemonstrated self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.\nAbility to work effectively in both small and large team environments.\nAbility to travel globally up to 15-20 weeks per year.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCertifications: CISSP, CASP\nKnowledge of Cybersecurity Assess and Authorize (A&A) processes supporting DoD acquisition via the RMF.\nFamiliarity with industry cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).\nKnowledge of cybersecurity testing methodologies and tools (vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, risk assessments).\nKnowledge of the DoD acquisition process.\nUnderstanding of network security and network engineering concepts.\n Technical Skills\nExperience in cybersecurity testing for DoD systems, including DT&E and OT&E.\nAbility to lead and coordinate test teams across multiple mission areas.\nStrong understanding of aircraft, weapon systems, cloud environments, and traditional IP architectures.\nProficiency in developing and contributing to test plans, schedules, cost estimates, and test strategies.\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity assessment processes, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and risk evaluation.\nWorking knowledge of RMF A&A processes and cybersecurity standards (NIST, ISO frameworks).\nStrong analytical skills for evaluating cybersecurity threats, trends, and associated risks.\nInterpersonal Skills\nAbility to manage and guide diverse cybersecurity test teams.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to brief both technical and non-technical audiences.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with DoD organizations, federal agencies, and customer stakeholders.\nStrong initiative, professionalism, and discretion with strict adherence to security protocols.\nAbility to work independently and within team environments under dynamic conditions.\nEffective coordination and teamwork during time-sensitive test events.\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Eglin AFB, FL\nTravel: 25%\nOnsite\n#96th Test Group\nCompany Overview\nOdyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
