This is a full-time role at Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs, CO. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring software and hardware developed by Government contractors meets the Government specifications and will operate within the weapons system without degradation to the system. The Program Office supports and sustains 11 radar sites on a regular basis: Space Mission only Radars across the world including three GEODSS (Maui, Diego, Socorro), Eglin (Florida), and C-band (Australia); one Missile Warning (MW) Radar in PARCS North Dakota; and five Space/Missile Defense (MD) and MW Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWRs), across North America and Europe, which provide early warning ballistic missile detection, acquisition, classification, and tracking of ballistic missile attack, 24-hours per day, 365 days per year. The radars are also capable of detecting, identifying, and tracking man-made objects in low-earth orbit.\nResponsibilities\nDuties include, but not limited to:\nWorking with the customer/sub-contractors to ensure their test needs are met, mitigating risks, and providing SME support\nDocumenting test outcomes and performance\nDeveloping test methodology, test plans and related documentation, and system diagrams\nUsing Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs\nDevise new and innovative approaches to problems encountered during testing\nSelect and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity\nMake recommendations on test outcomes and be prepared to back up those recommendations with facts\nScheduling required testing between sites and multiple programs and agencies\nScheduling required in lab testing between multiple programs and agencies\nDe-conflict testing conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead\nManaging and executing Lab testing\nManaging and executing formal Site testing\nEvaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification)\nIndependently prepare criteria, computation/analysis, specifications, cost estimates, test plans and technical reports\nTroubleshoot errors/anomalies during test events\nProvide detailed test status reporting and briefings to the customer and management level\nQualifications\nCitizenship: Must be a US citizen\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nClearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance\nEducation: High School Diploma\nYears of Experience: 15 years of directly related experience; to include 8 years of DoD experience. OR\nBachelor's Degree in related field with 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include 5 years of DoD experience\nTechnical Skills:\nPossesses the advanced knowledge, experience to be recognized as an expert in their technical/professional field.\nDemonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise.\nTest management background with a proven history of success (8-10 years)\nExperience writing, reviewing, and executing test plans\nKnowledge of Specification based on Black Box, Structured based White Box, and/or experience-based testing techniques\nKnowledge of the project life-cycle\nStrong understanding of test management processes, design techniques, and best practice\nExperience in designing and implementing test frameworks on large scale programs and enhancing existing test processes\nPreferred Qualifications\nClearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI\nEducation: Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field\nYears of experience: 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include 5 years of DoD experience\nAdditional Preferred Skills:\nKnowledgeable of Cheyenne Mountain an ITW/AA network\nKnowledge of Ground Based Radar systems\nKnowledge of Missile Warning and Missile Defense operations\nKnowledge of Space Mission Operations\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Peterson Space Force Base Colorado Springs, CO\nTravel: CONUS and OCONUS travel up to 30% may be required\nRemote, On-site, or Hybrid: Hybrid schedule for local candidates.
